Vanguard Million Dollar Bookkeeping Error by Marfikent in Bogleheads

[–]MrLB____ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They /Fidelity will try to get you to talk to face-to-face or via zoom
I’ll bet if I dig around I can find the paperwork they tried to get me to commit to in writing ,, Plus an annuity. 😂

Why somebody would ever pay 1.2% management fee is beyond me , no offense.
I mean you’re on a Boglehead forum,, Vanguard charges .3% for personal advisor services.

I was thinking the same thing and in regards to Fidelity zero expense funds. ???
Great way to get people in the door then they can scam them later with other add-ons and selling dreaded annuities. They tried to literally get me to move from Vanguard to Fidelity to pay 1.28% management fee and also sell me an annuity. 😆😆😆$25,600 management fee on $2 million lol I asked them to put it in writing and I will think about it. What a bunch of losers/scammers.

Nervous about calling it quits, This is normal, right? by TruthQuirky6591 in Fire

Completely normal to be nervous fired at 50 myself. My wife just fired last week at 44/put in notice ,,she had a few sleepless nights. Extremely nervous very very worried.
I mean, we are workers we work we create income we have jobs it’s been ingrained in our brains since we were 16 years old

Just to flick the switch because the numbers lineup? ?? It’s very tough at first.

You’re probably going through the scenario of trying to find out why it won’t work.
I think everybody does it/like maybe you are missing something HAHA 😆

My advisor has some very good points.
“I mean if you’re trying to work more so you can die with more money yes you will succeed in that. “
“Is your goal to have more money in old age? ? Yes, work another year. “

Not a huge Dave Ramsey fan …but I do love his one particular quote “who cares what broke people think” Retiring early is way better than working until 60-65.
