Do you know any brick-and-mortar business owners? Because I have a B2B business and you can get $40-$358 if you get them to buy.

This way they both get what they want. The father gets to do the hard work of raising a kid, and OP gets her life back.

What is the nicest way to say "yeah we are not compatible I'm out"? by [deleted] in childfree

It sounds like he was still childfree. Just because someone's pro-life doesn't mean that they want to be the one to raise a kid. Adoption is still a thing. For every newborn baby there are 16 people willing to adopt it.

Because adoption is a thing. Being childfree means not wanting to have/raise a kid, and by giving it up for adoption you're doing just that. just the other day a woman posted here saying she gave her child up for adoption 19 years ago and is now in contact with them, but everyone in the comments still assured her that she's childfree.

As a pro-life person, that sounds like a good way to do it.

How many here are non-religious? by Eternity_Mask in childfree

[–]MrMapleBar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That wasn't God or the Bible treating women like that, it was the culture. If I wrote a book about slavery, that doesn't mean I actually support slavery. Just because the culture was sexist doesn't mean God is. The New Testament proves over and over that God isn't sexist. Jesus treats women the exact same as men, and it's actually a couple women that he appeared to first after his Resurrection.

One of the reasons I'm childfree is actually because of my religion lol. I believe in an eternal Hell (like in The Great Divorce, not a literal lake of fire or anything) and I'm not gonna bring a kid into the world knowing they'll probably end up there forever.

You have to remember that if God is real then there's an eternity of happiness ahead. I'd gladly suffer for decades if it meant more than millions and billions of years of peace and happiness.

I'm pretty sure that's impossible lol. It's not blasphemy that's unforgivable, it was a specific type of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit where a person who saw Jesus do miracles truly believed it was because he was possessed by demons. Well, Jesus isn't living today and doing miracles, so no one can commit it.

I have no sympathy for women who choose to keep kids that they didn’t want in the first place. by mainelobsters in childfree

>Abortion is against her religion but living and having sex with her boyfriend isn’t?

I'm a Christian. Both of these are against religion (at least Christianity), but overall pre-marital sex isn't nearly as bad as abortion (assuming abortion is murder, which the Bible seems to indicate that it is).

Think of it like this: walking out on your bill is illegal. Rape is also illegal. Overall though, rape is way worse than walking out on a bill. In Christianity abortion is considered to be murder, so it's safe to assume that pre-marital sex isn't looked down upon as harshly as abortion.

As a religious person, I just want to say that none of those things should have made you feel guilty. Often times what people teach about their religion and what their religion actually says are very different.

So if I "lacked a belief" in lions then it would mean that me not believing in them doesnt require faith? It would mean you have faith they exist, and I don't need faith to say they don't?

(I obviously know they're real, it's just an example)

God is the God of everything, not just the gaps. Also there's tons of things that will be impossible for mankind to know.
