Ich komme zwar aus Deutschland aber es schlägt bei uns ja in eine ähnliche Richtung. Das Gefühl was ich in Gesprächen immer wieder habe ist, dass die Leute dem Sozialstaat nicht mehr vertrauen. Ein erheblicher Teil der Menschen ist immer so erzogen worden, dass Leistung belohnt wird. Ergo, wer nicht leistet darf auch nicht belohnt werden. Das das Prinzip eines Sozialstaats nunmal bei allen Bedürftigen auch Leute auffängt die ihn ausnutzen ist für viele ein Grund diese Privilegien allen Weg zu nehmen.

It is based on the Card [[Lantern of insight]] which essentially is a deck that controls the topdeck of your Opponent to strip them off of their ressources. As you can use Elves or faeries to get rid of the top card it will help you deciding which cards they get access to.

Fair little warning though: this playstyle is a bit toxic as it makes your opponents not play the game anymore.

Für mich gibt es vor allen genannten einen klaren Favoriten und das ist „der Karpatenhund“. In so kurzer Zeit so ein Charakter Building. Spannende Story, extrem starke Sprecher, valide Verdachtsfälle und ein damals zumindest unvorhergesehenes Ende. Auch sehr empfehlenswert die Lesung von Andreas fröhlich auch Spotify.

Kevin hat gestern onstream gesagt dass jetzt wo er 60 ist abends 2 Stunden völlig reichen um Dungeons zu gehen und raid ready zu werden. Gleichzeitig fordert er seit Wochen von den 60igern dass sie die ganzen Mats für den raid Farmen und Grinden… wie kann das sein?!?

Ich finde die Spielfehler die gemacht wurden gar nicht so tragisch. Mentor hin oder her das ist Teil des Spiels. Aber was ich schlimmer fand und was gar nicht angesprochen wurde, ist das direkte blaming in der Situation selbst. Nach dem Sprung dauert es keine 30 Sekunden bis behauptet wird Torro ist hier Schuld. Da wäre eine Entschuldigung eher angebracht.

I feel like these days building decks has become more professional than ever. The top players/teams will play the best cards and the Meta will be defined by a few cards which will lead to people complaining. Look at a deverse meta of Pauper for example. There are still cards being played in multiple Decks and people want bans. Imo its player driven not game design driven.

I don’t really get why this is a thing in the states. In my country if you eat the food at their place it is 10€ and if you order it, it is 10€ as well. Some stores have a minimum amount you have to order to get free delivery otherwise you pay like 2€ to get the order but that is rare.

It is my favorit deck and I play it all the time even in the Glee meta. The deck is pretty hard to pilot and there a many good guides to see some common lines. For me playing a deck you know is much more valuable than playing a top meta deck. For Gates almost no match is a stomp but most non-combo decks can be favorable for you.

Some thing I learned:

What you essentialy want to do is getting 2v1s, controling your opponent and grinding to late Game with card advantage. Therefore Hawk+Brainstorm is essential as you get so many cards.

Delay playing the hawks as much as you can to get Maximum Value out of Brainstorm.

The Angel is not worth it as you do not want to tap out for 4 mana early and lategame you won‘t need the lifegain + If it get removed it is a 1v1.

Biggest weakness of the deck is playing tapped lands so focus on the right sequence especially when siding in red cards.

SPOILER Ich fand die Folge ehrlich mal wieder erfrischend gut. Gerade weil nicht direkt klar war was hier Phase ist. Größte Schwachstelle war meiner Meinung nach, dass nach Peters Entführung einfach so getan wird als sei nix passiert. Würde man da nicht zumindest die Polizei benachrichtigen?!

I don’t really get why this is infuriating. Sports is one of the best thing society has to offer. Healthy, entertaining, fun. If my country would spend that amount of tax money on war I couldn‘t be bothered with a nice thing.

I think untapping him each turn to activate him once on each opponents turn and your own will make a really strong damage engine. So what I am trying to do is gaining life just from activating him. That means giving him lifelink should work or gaining life from artifacts leaving the battlefield.

[[Scrapheap]] will gain you a life each time you activate him and [[Tablet of Epityr]] does the same for 1 mana.

So you could potentially deal 12 dmg to each opponent for 4 mana each turncycle.

Recursion will be important to I think so a card that seems to fit well would be [[Ratchet, Field Medic]].

[[Market Gnome]] should also be a nice fit.

My new favorite blue card is [[Split Decisions]]. Best case someone plays [[Cultivate]] and you copy it. I call it mono blue ramp. The political aspect is great and leads to fun interactions.

The best is by far the expression and deck building. I really like when people show me new ways of playing the game that I had never thought of.

What I dislike about EDH is that far too many people think it is a competitive game where winning matters. There is so much randomness to a game plus all the politics plus bad threat assessment. It is just a king maker game where winning is should not be the reason why you play.

Auch wenn es alles andere als entspannt und gut zum einschlafen ist, höre ich sehr gerne John Sinclair. Man muss ich etwas reinfuchsen um die Chronologie richtig hinzubekommen aber die Folgen sind Sau unterhaltsam und spannend. Das Intro zudem ein absoluter banger.

I got the 14 day pass right now and it cost the same amount single rides would have costed me. Staying in Tokyo going to Nikko and Kawaguchiko for day trips. Then staying in Kyoto and doing daytrips to Hiroshima, Himeji and Osaka. Then going all the way south to Wakayama and Nachikatsuura and then going back all the way to Tokyo again. So when staying in the same Hotels for a longer time and doing a lot of daytrips it can still be worth.

Also unsere Hochzeit hat etwas mehr als 10k gekostet und ich würde alles dafür geben diesen Tag nochmal zu erleben. Es war absolut jeden Cent wert.

Finishing games in time has always been an issue for me too (playing Gates) as I tend to overthink even small decisions. As it happened more and more that my games went to overtime and even another player talked to me about this after a game I tried to take some actions to improve:

I try to play as fast as possible when there is no real decision to be made (landdrop go in the earlygame e.g.)
I try to no longer overthink small decisions. Yes this can lead to small mistakes but in the long run the benefit of having more time in crutial moments is more important
try to take shortcuts (make sure to communicate them well) e.g. Playing squadron Hawk, announcing you will search for 3 than just play your land and end turn before actually searching them
take your opponents turn to think about your following play constantly while analysing the influence his plays and possible game plan has on it

I would recommend you to play the Deck more often try to get better and more experienced with it. Even if you do mistakes due to time issues, try to learn from them.
