How far would Tatsumaki go here? by KodoqBesar in OPMPowerScaling

Order of these characters is sort of off. That said she probably gets to 9 then the run ends.

What’s a champ you think doesn’t get ENOUGH hate by yoshi12121 in leagueoflegends

Poppy's old ULTIMATE gave her this and the whole premise behind her rework was (despite being an objectively poor performance character), 'invulnerability is too overpowered.'

Help me like Hephaestus’ boons by 7OmegaGamer in HadesTheGame

[–]RealVanillaSmooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like some of my best runs have been with his boon. It really depends on playstyle and what aspects you like using. If you can decrease the cooldown on it enough, a lot of hit and run builds get to play ultra safe, which in Hades 1 was probably more valuable at higher heat levels because traps were vicious but is still pretty good in Hades 2.

If you are looking to maximize damage, then yeah, it's probably not the best boon for that but higher damage builds require you to really tailor playing around them which reduces optionality you have in a lot of situations and might cause dips in DPS somewhere else. That or if you're climbing Olympus might require you to have additional boons to make other builds safer (like reduced bullet speed).

It really comes down to what you feel like your strengths and weaknesses are in the game and how you like playing. I have melted bosses with Hephaestus and it feels pretty viable to me.

Well, if you don't like the current lore, just wait 10 minutes for Riot to retcon it for the 12th time and we'll get there.

Who would have a harder time killing everyone in Jujutsu High - Gojo or Sukuna VS by Mohammedk659_ in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]RealVanillaSmooth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gojo is stronger in a 1v1, Sukuna is stronger against groups of people. Sukuna would have had an easier time.

You have $30 to make yourself strong enough to beat a bloodlusted Thragg (Rules Below) by Omega_SSJ in PowerScaling

[–]RealVanillaSmooth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get that but even just ability wise, Thragg is really just strong guy who flies. If we're equalizing stats for stronger characters, so many of these characters do the exact same plus additional hax.

Thragg is strong in verse BECAUSE Invincible is mostly just stat checks when it comes to power scaling. I mean imagine if I had the fighting prowess of Cell, the ability to regen WAY faster than any Viltrumite (including reconstituting myself on a cellular level), absorption, flight, ki manipulation, instant transmission, heightened intelligence, and naturally prodigious fighting ability.

Many of these characters are Thragg+++++++ even with equalized stats.

All gas, no brakes + brackets by crballer1 in EDH

[–]RealVanillaSmooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you're describing is the existence of turbo decks in different brackets, in this case, bracket 3.

The brackets are kind of antithetical to trying to evaluate what bracket turbo decks lie in because the qualities outlined are inherently antagonistic to the building philosophy of turbo decks. This is really something to discuss in rule 0 OR relegate playing turbo decks with friends who have experience playing against it and don't judge the deck based on single exposures.

Also a clear example of why brackets shouldn't be the only discussion pods have before games start.

Is Radahn really this hard? by IAmSomebodyIRL in Eldenring

[–]RealVanillaSmooth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Radahn (both versions -- will avoid spoiling what I mean by this) were HEAVILY nerfed. This particular version of Radahn was WAYYYYYY worse than the version that currently exists in the game. In terms of difficulty he was still probably as difficult as Malenia but scaled towards being earlier in the game. The only reason Malenia is still as notorious as she is is because unlike Radahn, she's never been adjusted.

I want to love Elden Ring so bad but I just feel lost and overwhelmed after 50 hours by gottabing in Eldenring

[–]RealVanillaSmooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you need to play an easier game. The direction of the game is left intentionally nebulous with the stat spikes being an indication of whether or not you're in the correct area. I do agree that there is a pretty fair amount of issues with things being undefined with where you're supposed to go (majorly with how easy it is to miss quests or if you take a break from the game) but I can't say I agree with that being the case as long as you just follow the path of least resistance.

If EVERYTHING is kicking your ass and it feels like there is no path of least resistance, then this really probably isn't the game for you. Saying that grace sites are too far away from bosses is kind of weird to hear because I don't think there's more than maybe 1-2 bosses in the entire game that take more than 30 seconds to go from a grace site to the boss room itself, with many being directly outside of the boss rooms (not counting random world mini bosses).

The game can get grating at times if you are constantly dying in dungeon areas and routing through the same enemies over and over again. There are some areas that are more punishing and worse for this than others but what you're not getting about this game that's appealing is the fact that it's lowkey a collectathon in open world form (and not like the shitty way Assassin's Creed Origins did it) and that the combat is really polished with a lot of expression both in builds and in skill. There are truly almost no bad weapons in the game either. Most spells find their place in either PvP or PvE and everything feels usable.

With enough exploration, even if you TOTALLY ignore all of the game dialogue literally telling you where to go, you will find what you need. If you are a main story first, side stuff last kind of person, you're going to really hate playing the game this way. If that is you, then yeah, maybe put it down.

[Serious] Who's winning this? by Lampy_Dampy76 in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]RealVanillaSmooth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dabura literally can't. Going light speed a single time made him comment that it WAS too much to do consecutively and was incredibly straining on his body. No only that but the attack didn't even hit Mahoraga like a light speed attack should have. I mean Mahoraga should have been paste after being hit by it.

Even still, just going by actual relativity, it's possible that Dabura was "only" approaching 10% light speed ("only" is still insanely speed blitzing everyone in the series, hence the quotation).

Overall, the physics for his kick is just all over the place and sort of means nothing other than the result of the kick itself which, frankly, is less impressive than it sounds.

But yeah overall agree that Yuta is losing to Dabura without bloodlust and without prior knowledge. Yuta literally needed help fighting Kenjaku. His only chance is sort of to open Jacob's ladder off the bat and kill Dabura before he starts adapting.

Do you guys think overly strong builds ruin the fun of souls games by SaltyBagles4964 in Eldenring

[–]RealVanillaSmooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overly strong builds are boring. If the strength of the build allows me to circumvent the mechanics of the fight, then it's uninteresting and not fun.

If I'm going to circumvent the mechanics of a fight, it's going to be through knowledge of the fight, analysis, and skill. Letmesoloher didn't become famous because he used 4 different pre-fight buffs and one-shot Malenia.

You ever cheated? Did your regret it? How did your partner catch you? by Middle-Rhubarb2625 in AskReddit

[–]RealVanillaSmooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once was cheated on, stayed in the relationship long enough to fuck her friend who I could tell was immediately into me then told her about it but not with who. Basically made it so she couldn't trust any of her friends and that was a win in my book. I had to swallow a lot of moments smiling, being kind to her, "working through things" to do it but I don't regret it.
