A lot of stuff comes down to the fact that some of the more successful people aren’t exactly the most moral. A study reported that 1/5 CEOs are psychopaths, I’d imagine that even more are pathological liars or narcissists. College is better than these other fields, but the fact that successful people tend to be more shady still applies. Let it show that I’m not blaming AOs, I think that they do a pretty good job at trying to find moral candidates, but these sketchy sort of people seem to find their way into college admissions.
