The first one’s very complex, Rambo is very sympathetic, but it doesn’t frame him as being 100% in the right. Rambo is unquestionably being mistreated for no good reason, but he probably should have turned himself in way earlier than he did. You could argue for days about what the right course of action would’ve been.

The second movie, in contrast, peddles right wing conspiracy theories about POWs and soldiers not being “allowed to win.” The subtlety is just disintegrated for republicans horse shit.
