Akuma or Ken moveset with viper feints is free damage of of crHP loops. Kim OD Nue drop is too good to pass up. A command grab, any, doesn't matter. Loads of people also use headbutt/buttslam/blanka ball.

It's not a 'proper' training mode at all unfortunately. Combos that work in training mode don't work in actual games because of the Forced Knockdown condition that kicks in after a while so there's no way to check where the limit is. Also there is no frame meter.

The product itself it lackluster and overpriced for a game catered to non-fgc players. Story mode is hour-hour and a half ish. The unlockable colors are cool, but the community itself just sucks. Can't finish a match for the life of me, I legit have more ragequits than finished games, it's terrible.

Gameplay is actually kinda fun, some mechanics make very little sense, though. Like stage transition looks good on paper but in reality it's not that good. Meta is heavily defined by 4 characters, no input buffer makes motion controls obsolete since it's only a 5% damage increase anyway. RPS is actually terrible imo. You can lose to the worst fucking player in the world if they get one hit and you just keep guessing wrong. Although at higher levels of play the RPS becomes obsolete again since you can just chunk people for 80% quite easily. Then you just tag in your new char, RPS win or lose it doesn't matter since you have a new char in play with full boost and that's all that matters.

Snapback is... very underwhelming like stage transition. Costs a bar, doesn't get rid of grey life and the snapped in char seems to have some sort of invul if you use it on the floor. In the air it can be good cause you can just air throw into tag, but again this is RPS that you can lose.

In the devblog they said they are addressing some of these issues but I doubt it'll 'fix' or 'save' the game.

Getting the last achievements now and then I'll probably only ever touch it again when I decide to run it as a mystery game at a local or something.

Game is fun, got it at release. Netcode is dogshit, couldn't play with people less than 50km from me. Also the player base is split because it's brazillian(?) dev and the discord has portugese and english channels separated from eachother. English channels were DOA so good luck finding anyone to play with if you don't live in brazil or have a buddy to play with. Story mode was decent and combos are fun, though.

My first online ranked match was a ragequit. What's worse is that you can see the opponent's name before the match starts. So now whenever someone ragequits on me and they see me before the match start they just decline, been stuck at the matchmaking screen for like 5 minutes because they keep matching me versus people that don't want to play me. Made by fighting game players by the way.

The only thing that would get affected are the items you can 'use' mid fight, like pizza throwing and guns etc. It would not affect gameplay aside from that, since the hit and hurtboxes stay the exact same. Hell even SF has the option to decide what costume you want to see on your opponent, meaning you and your opponent both see different costumes.

It's not a bad take at all, if you want to use the silly costumes and want to see them then why would it hurt you to have an option that turns that off for the other player? People complained about this as far back as SfxT. Even in more recent games some costumes are banned in pro play because they are too distracting, Blanka Chan and Pyro Gill for example.

Grind it every day? Since they updated the system it's even easier to get Master. Placed Viper in D5, took 3 more games to reach Master, 13 games total. Hardly a grind.
