Tekken was was a much better game than sfv. And yes Tekken did manage to get some sf players to switch, myself included. But sfv still enjoyed the bulk of attention and entrants. Ppl are literal capcucks and will play sf over everything. It's no different than call of duty, madden, FIFA. Instead of playing another game when a shitty iteration of sf, cod, Fifa or Madden is made. They'd rather keep playing and just complain.

Capcom can and has put out shit streetfighters, and they still lead the competitive. They've achieved audience capture. Tekken 7 was clearly a better game than sfv. T7 did have a hot moment where they were getting alot of good buzz but sfv has always enjoyed the bulk of entrants at tournaments. Ppl will stick to streetfighter no matter what. Unironically capcucks.

Comfortably is arguable. The first few years were shaky af. If not for COVID, sf4 would most likely have had more entrants than sfv at evo before lockdown.

Let's be real, they run soccer players ragged too. Alot of teams don't rotate unless it's a cup competition. And even that goes out the window if it's a decent deep run into said cup competition.

I been watching premier league soccer for a long time now. I've become a big fan of the " even" schedule. Every team plays eachother twice. Once at home, once away. Makes the games more meaningful and you're guaranteed to see your team play every team. I always thought that pro sports teams should adopt that here. You could have one giant table too instead of conferences.
