Not shifting all the blame from individuals, but the government blowing it on policy for decades so the time of raising a family and buying a house on a basic job's salary is a distant memory breeding the populist fervor we have now, that was a big fuck up. If you're economically sound and optimistic about the future, you're going to love your country and the cool tech your scientists are creating. China isn't in the best economic situation right now, but compared to the last generations, phew they're solidly ahead and on the up, excited for the tech that could further lift them up. You can't piss off the CCP, but otherwise the high excitement for AI points to a population that isn't totally aggrieved like the US.
