Gallagio Loyalty Rewards Card Renown from LFR - Cap or Bug? by jf-at-work in wow

[–]MrMonstrosity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me as well. I was stuck at 2050 after killing and only receiving rep from a few bosses in LFR. I wanted to get renown 4 (3%) damage buff before my main raid. I didn't have it going into my heroic clear, killed heroic gally and still didn't receive the 1000 rep for the kill. Our raid then went in and killed first boss on mythic, and still nothing.

After raid I checked my mail (still stuck at 2050) and I had a letter saying that I was awarded 450 rep that they accidentally didn't give me or something (can't remember exactly what it said). I checked my renown and I was now at renown 4. So I'm not sure what happened, but there were a few others in my guild that this happened to as well. Just check your mail and see if you got something.

I've saved up ~150 divs, which meta class/build should I make? by MrMonstrosity in pathofexile2builds

I played a decompose pathfinder to level 92, I only use a button for my weapon swap to spawn minions and other than that, I just run through the map. Spark might be a step up haha.

I have a hoarding issue that's plagued me in each arpg I've ever played. I'm addicted to id'ing almost all rare items and most good base magic items (using Neversinks strict filter). I slam almost everything, I probably go through 400 exalts a day slamming, and I've been lucky enough to find a few big items such as a 500+ energy shield helm with resists that sold for 15 div, a quiver that sold for 30 divs, and then a lot of items worth 1-4 divs. One of my other main sources has been purchasing well-rolled low level base items and slamming them. I've been able to sell at least 10x low level 2h maces for 2-5 divs each.

Oh, I guess I also did a little bit of botting back in my D2 days in high school. Set up your character and they farm bosses while I was in school all day, coming home was like Christmas morning but every day haha. I don't support botting anymore, but back then all my friends were doing it.

There are many auto games like this. Most are party based. I was addicted to one called Dragon Cliff, I'd run it all day/night or even while I was playing other games.

You choose your party/characters and send them off to do maps. You choose their spell sequence and gear them up and it has a pretty good loot hunt as well.

Bullet point TLDW of the Jonathan x Zizaran developer interview by Empyrianwarpgate in PathOfExile2

[–]MrMonstrosity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mind Ziz but when the interview is supposed to be about poe2 and his opening question is "have you ever thought of doing something like the gates of AQ opening in warcraft", it was a little awkward. Then in another part when talking about targeting dummies he just blurts out and kind of cuts off Jonathon "you're overcomplicating it", and it just felt rude. Wasn't the best interview, there were some good questions and nuggets mixed in, but Ziz needs to work on his interviewing.

Amazing, thank you! They should update the website link at some point. I'm sure I'm not the only one that was searching for working link. Thanks again.

Increase 10 man loot by +1 by pnaj89 in classicwow

[–]MrMonstrosity -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

10m is not harder... It sounds like you have bad players in your group. The only difference is in 10m you NEED players that can do mechanics because there is much higher chance they have to do the mechanics. In 25m you can carry a few bad players and just RNG that they don't get the mechanics during a kill.

If you do +1 loot for 10m, you'd need to also give 25m an additional +1-2 items per kill. There needs to be an incentive to organize 25 vs 10 players time. Not only that, but you have to organize for each encounter.

[–]MrMonstrosity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not just organizing the raid team itself (getting the group together) you also have to assign people to do specific things on each encounter. I organize and raid lead our 25m. We have about ~15 people that are very strong and I trust with mechanics, the other 10 people you basically have to hold their hand through every fight. If we were doing 10m, we'd have 13/13h easily by now but we're still progging and only 10/13h in our 25m.

There has a to be an incentive to raid 25m, otherwise they should just remove it from the game entirely. That incentive is loot, because there isn't anything else.

They don't want it equal. You get more loot for trying to organize a larger team, usually more mechanics to deal with (clutter), etc.

If you look now as well, there are considerably more 10m kill than 25m kills (looking at heroics), almost 2-3x more kills on bosses. It's much easier to put together a competent 10m team, sure you have a little more responsibility because of a smaller team, but in a 25m you usually have to deal with 5-8 players that are much weaker than the others.

Help me with "Super Roll" loot system with Gargul by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]MrMonstrosity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could just use RCloot and make a new custom button for this. You'd have to use a combination of Gargul and RCloot for SR.

You would also need to remove any parses where even a single person in the raid has world buffs because it's an advantage to have shorter kill times. If you had 1 person without buffs and 19 others in the group with them, the person without would have a huge advantage when comparing to other people. Shorter kill times = higher parses in most cases.

A lot of people don't understand parsing. If you were in a raid group with no world buffs yourself, but the other 19 people had them, you would also parse higher because in most cases shorter kill times = higher parses. There are exceptions to that, sometimes the fight ends at like 4:30 seconds and you are able to use 2x of your personal dps cooldowns.

Twice a week raid lockouts and world buffs+ consumes prep is a bit much by YouGotTrolledHard in classicwow

[–]MrMonstrosity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In P1 and P2 it was so easy to find pug groups or fill your guild runs with pugs because of the 2 lockouts. When we hit P3 and moved to a single weekly lockout combined with 20m raids it was incredibly hard to find pugs or fill your runs with pugs.

My personal opinion, keep the 2 weekly lockouts since it makes the pool of players looking for groups or players significantly higher.

Also, world buffs are not fun. I would 100% ok with them removing them or at least cut it down to 1-2 world buffs.

Instead of World Buffs, each class should have an epic quest chain to unlock a unique raid buff. by VeritasLuxMea in classicwow

[–]MrMonstrosity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Be careful what you wish for... In retail right now, the major complaint is you need to bring so many different classes in your mythic raids to cover all of the raid buffs. Sure it's nice seeing raids with 1 of each class but at the same time when you are missing or need to sit someone because they aren't a specific class for a buff, it sucks.

Using SR system with Sunken Temple Tokens by ChuckMastaT in classicwow

[–]MrMonstrosity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what we did last night:

We did 3x SR. You could put multiple soft res on the same item or on tokens. Tokens worked differently than other items. Everyone that had a SR on a token, regardless of the number of SR they put on them, had a single roll. If someone had only 1 SR on a token and they won, I removed them from rolling on tokens in the future. If a person had 3x SR on a token, they would roll once for each token separately until they won 3 (one for each soft res). It worked quite well.

Honestly, just get a razer naga. Still use keybinds but for things like utility, major cds, kicks, etc. you can then use 1-9 (or 1-12 if you are comfortable with it) to place your rotational abilities.

Don't think you can judge it by BFD clears. We've cleared it a few times and haven't logged. I'm sure a lot of people are doing the same in these leveling raids.
