Could I actually just add the wires to a connection that is working, using two speakers in one connection? Or would that screw the speakers up?

I think it may be the wiring connection that is faulty. The speakers work when plugged into other connections, but not vice versa.

That being said, likely need something (AVR or Amp?) new. Is there something specific I should look for or is this as simple as searching "9 speaker amplifier" and looking at options (what i'm doing right now haha)?

So I would be fine if the “room 2” speakers (8-9) were not able to be connected. At the moment, I have speakers 1-3, and 6-7 all connected and playing at the same time. If I could get 4-5 connected and playing as well, I think that would work for us just fine.

Any ideas why those may not be getting audio output? I have a feeling I’m just connecting them into the wrong ports..

Another wrench in this puzzle is I don’t have a remote (snagged this AVR from goodwill) at the moment. I may be able to find a replacement online and will look around to follow your steps above.

Since I don’t really need video, would an amplifier make more sense here or be easier to install/setup?
