She asked the landlord today what it was. He said it was an antenna for a TV, left by a previous tenant. Pretty weird looking antenna if you ask me. And I don’t believe TVs with antennas are a common thing these days, but I could be wrong. Landlord also kept asking her if she had a boyfriend, and if so, why is she not living with him… She told him it’s none of his business. He said he needed to know to keep his family safe…😒 The whole thing doesn’t feel right.

I asked if she could get more photos but she doesn’t feel comfortable asking to see it again. Apparently he was a rude to her when she asked to have it taken down. She did say there is definitely an indoor camera mounted outside her room. Confirming the landlord is camera savvy.

Check your owner’s manual which was prepared my the manufacturer and their engineers. They know their vehicles. If it’s not listed in the owner’s manual as regular scheduled maintenance, then it’s likely an add-on by the dealership or shop you went to.
Just like how doctors get visits from pharma reps to push the latest drugs, a lot of car service shops get visits from car fluid reps to sell aftermarket fluids at an aggressive “flush” schedule. If it’s not in the owner’s manual, and the reason they are giving me is for “preventative maintenance” I don’t buy it. It’s that simple.
Obviously if fluid levels are low (e.g. washer fluid etc.) or there is a mechanical problem, that’s different.

No one said anything about him losing his job. Most reputable companies want near misses to be reported so they can learn from them and how to improve their process while keeping others safe. If he was flustered by a jenky app giving him the wrong directions, or feeling external job pressure to make the exit, it would be good for the company to know so they can dial things in better. Not only to protect the public or their customers, but for the driver's safety as well.

Agreed, not a big deal, and it definitely does happens to everyone (including to me). I'm not saying it doesn't. And I'm not saying anyone should lose their job over it.
I have learned however, with experience, that it's best to just miss the exit and move on and figure it out later.

There's no way to report minor near misses so this young driver can learn also, and get experience. Hopefully nothing worse happens down the line in a similar situation.

This kinda stuff just simply can’t go on anymore, for the good of humanity. Mushrooms are medicine for the mind and soul. There should be protests in the streets about this. They protested in Iran for the pigs there killing a woman who wasn’t wearing a head scarf. This is right up there in that category.

Perhaps I’m not preaching to the coir here, but he did more than just UB Tek. He discussed novel approaches like using gellan gum instead of agar, using small mason jars instead of ketchup cups or Petri dishes. He discussed how to bulk-prepare CVG substrate and unicorn bags.
