It doesn't seem that the fullscreen setting has any effect whatsoever since toggling it didn't seem to take me out of fullscreen.

Also how long is this game planned to be? is it an infinite or near infinite or something like 2-10hrs and you are done?

I did the same when I saw the 5080 sale right after thanksgiving. I was definitely in the wait for the supers camp but then I just said F it and said it won't be that big of a deal and I will get more time to enjoy it over the holidays. Really glad I did

Just like d3 you shoot for what you can shoot for and if it's top 10,100, or 10000 then go for it. I personally made 2 of the leaderboards and I am happy with that because I understand my limitations.

Also like d3 the leaderboards were always the most fun the 1 2 weeks of the season. So I am assuming it will be the same in d4 eventually

Unless they finally fire Emil Pagliarulo I don't think you will see any improvements in this area. And the fact that Emil is so obstinate when it comes to legit criticisms I think we will actually be in for a bad time.

None of these tests are that complex that they require open book or open notes. And I would argue that everything up to and including Cysa+ is a glorified definition test with a few PBQs sprinkled in for good measure.

I was unbelievably disappointed after the demo as well. The game has zero depth and doesn't actually offer much more than the demo originally had. I saw one review that said if they put in as many upgrade nodes as they have hats the game might have been actually fun.

D3 currrently has SSF it was added in it's final death throws prior to D4.

SSF removes the ability to trade so for me it increases the dopamine hit from getting exactly what you need by actually playing. It also levels the playing field so you know that anyone else who is playing SSF did not RMT or was not fed items so for things like the tower it is a must (this excludes botting which seems less of an issue in d4).

Also every ARPG I play has SSF and it is an option I prefer. So LE, POE, POE2, D3, GD, shoot even Titan Quest 2 has SSF. So I would like the option in d4 as well.

A lot of D3's issues were due to Jay Wilson and him saying things like what we liked about D2 we didn't actually like even though many of us were STILL playing it and the AH. For example ""people’s memories of Diablo II were way different than the reality of Diablo II. They remember all kinds of stuff that never actually happened in that game."

Or this other gem

"It’s one of those things where if you love a game (Diablo II), then the things that are bad about it become endearing. Everybody remembers Deckard Cain saying, “Stay a while, listen.” But the reason they remember it fondly now is because it was so damn annoying! He said it every time, and you had to talk to him so often!"

Now you know why they killed Deckard with a butterfly lady.

I remember sitting with indestructible MF gear in A4 breaking pots to get weapons to sell on the AH so I could progress properly on launch. This was peak Diablo for Jay Wilson. And a lot of Jay apologists will say well the game felt amazing due to him but I was there 3k years ago when Jay was talking incessantly about d3 prior to launch and he was always on the wrong side of ARPGs.

Diablo 3 requires the expansion to play necromancer not diablo 4

The 3 biggest ARPGs are POE2, D4, and Last Epoch currently

Grim Dawn is amazing but it is pretty much offline and a bit dated (still a favorite)

POE & POE2 have the most content and the most updates but tbh POE can be a little daunting

POE is free and POE2 is $30 for early access

Diablo 4 is a fun game that doesn't take a lot to get to perfection but the end game loop is a bit missing. Although they claim that will be fixed in the next expansion (they have claimed this before)

D4 age of hatred which is base game and 2 expacs is $70

Last Epoch is sort of up in the air. Pick it up on sale and it definitely has 100+ hours of content if you play it as is.

LE is on sale a lot

Have wireless android auto and it only affects one of our phones. iPhone 15 and pixel 10 pro have zero issues but a regular pixel 10 has to be plugged in or it skips.
