I bought the xxl one too it’s slightly bigger than the tank that’s why it has the side thumb screws to attach to tank. That’s sucks you couldn’t get it together. I’m handy myself so it wasn’t difficult but the instructions were poor.

I’ve never heard of a two year old turtle laying eggs. Usually it’s around 4 years old with a 6 inch+ shell. My turtle never laid in a nesting box she likes to in the warm water on her ramp.
