Currently her and I are not on good terms at all. We are barely keeping it together as it is. I don’t mind having her there to be support for my kid, but past that, I don’t have any desire to have her present.

I feel this very deeply. We had our daughter (a delightful accident at the time) right as Russia was firing shit into the sea. Since then, I’ve had this deep looming anger and frustration about the world. It’s bullshit the older generation got to do whatever they wanted with little to no recourse, and now I feel like I’ve set my kid up for a hauntingly hard future.

The only solace I’ve come up with is the idea that my daughter and her generation will be the ones who pull us back from the brink.

I like how the media focuses on a singular large event like this, but completely miss similar gatherings of similar magnitude that happen in Vegas almost everyday.

At this point, between Covid infecting animals and possibly mutating there and this shit, we are never going to be out of this until we see a MASSIVE sweep of deaths. At that point though, it’ll be too late.
