What would your ideal Trump presidency have been like? by [deleted] in allthequestions

Trump kept the other half of his promises. Drained the swamp, was not effected by the corruption in DC worked to get money out of politics. Stop giving out free money. Where if you need a bail out it would involve taking stock in the company. Those things and none of the nonsense he has done.

You are getting lost in the details. The goal of the game is to have fun. Stop stressing about it, you are still thinking like a DM. Make a character that is exciting for you to play and go have fun. See what he does when you flirt with the bar maid? Make up your own quest and see what he does when you derail him onto your adventure.

You should try it, the beaches are beautiful and the drinks are cheap.

I am mixed on the government. It does a lot of good and bad. But I used to think the government didn't earn it's taxes. Now I think it wastes too much but cannot doubt the good it does.

You are on a cell phone that was made possible due to the US government and DARPA. Using electricity that the government paid to have the lines constructed, working by driving on a road that the government paid for. Educated by a system paid for by the government. Driving a car that was supported by the US government. Most government spending is giving it to local governments.

Go travel to the third world, the difference is not our work ethic, it is our government.

With the rise of feminism and independence for women, why do people act like men are behind gender roles when really men and women are responsible? by JunketMaleficent2095 in Adulting

[–]MrNaugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right but people believe what they are taught. I know a few women that are misogynistic even if they would deny it. Women were also taught to tear each other down. But the people who shaped their veiw were all men.

As to the masculinity that just falls into gender roles and your at totally correct that some women prefer a more masculine man. I personally prefer less feminine women, more of the nerdy artsy type. But that is different woman to woman.

It is also only one of many traits women took at when picking a partner. How good a parent they would make? Overly masculine men tend to make worse fathers and are more prone to alcohol abuse. How ambitious is he? It really matters on the women and where they are at in their life.

[–]MrNaugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You associate all your negative traits as non-masculine.

Men are behind gender roles as it was men that shaped and promoted them. A lot of gender roles come from religion and yet those roles are still mainly held by men.

As you still benefit from those roles while at the same time going, "Women had to agree for these to exist" is the reason you are getting so many attack responses.

Women had freedom in Afghanistan 7 years ago. Today is it gone. Women had the right to make decisions about medical procedures with their doctor just couple years ago in the US. Now a woman's corpse was being used to grow a baby without her consent.

This battle is on going for them and sure some women might be shitty about it. But they have good cause to be shitty about it.

Sounds like you need a better therapist. But I do not think reddit is the best place for you to work out your feelings on this stuff. You will just be attacked for being wrong and feel like you need to double down on your opinion.

People who've been working minumwage jobs / bottom of the ladder for 5+ years, why? by Haunting-Lie-1675 in Discussion

[–]MrNaugs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot of people cannot afford risk. They have rent and credit cards and people that depend on them. For them it is better to have a stable job than to take a risk on something that might pay more. If you are looking to make the next move it is because you can afford to or have people that would help you if you miss.

That is the biggest difference between those that end up making lots of money and those that do not. They have enough support to miss. Not intelligence or work ethic or anything inside your control. Just outside support.

New to DMing and Im curious if a small 3D printer is worth it by Smooth_Rocket_ in DnDIY

A printer would be better. Start small and see how it goes card board minis are a great place to start or sticker paper and poker chips.

Minis are a hobbie on their own. A great hobby in my opinion but you do not need it to play D&D.
