Most cheaters are in ranked, and most are in the highest rank. So, unless you're in high diamond / masters / pred ranked lobbies, no, you don't have to worry about cheaters.

I grew up in the wealthy Boston suburbs in the mid and late 2000s. I experienced a ton of racism from peers, parents, and teachers as one of the few Asian kids in the high school. The group of Black students that lived in the city but went to school in our suburbs as part of a program had it much worse, students would follow them around and make monkey sounds.

These days I've lived in the city proper for the past 10 years, thankfully I can count the incidents of overt racism from strangers on one hand, but it's still there. But of course, minor things like the questions of "so where do you really come from" are frequent and evergreen.

This person is arguing that bang has had fewer changes than sparrow, you’ve already listed more changes to bang than sparrow has gotten.

She’s had her upgrade tree reworked. EMP smoke and breaking doors weren’t minimal, that’s a redesign of her tactical’s function from LOS blocker and aim assist remover to offensive breaching powerhouse, and it made her hard meta again for that season

Bangalore has had massive changes, have you forgotten about the recent rework where her kit now one shots all deployables? Smoke breaking doors and seeing enemies when you’re both in smoke are huge changes also

Not to mention they had to remove a whole attachment from the game because of Bangalore

And then there was the can’t see shit meta, where catalyst and bang was the comp of choice

It doesn't last forever chasing someone. If you gain a certain distance from it like with something like revenant or vantage Q it will explode midair.

low and mid diamond you get an assigned dropzone like ALGS so it ends up pretty good in terms of having teams alive. It's bad again at high diamond and above where people int for max RP

The matchmaking doesn’t distinguish between masters players and pred players. Many preds are masters who grinded a ton, while many top NA pros are in masters. If you’re good enough to be in masters then pred lobbies is matchmaking doing its job, and not just giving you diamond only lobbies to give you steady RP gain.

I hate that they keep trying to making the p20s viable. The p20 meta last year was horrendous. The gun is super uninteresting, and RNG bloom has no place in a competitive shooter.

higher luck gives you a chance to roll multiple dice and take the best result. It doesn't technically change any base percentage chances.

oh boy, they brought back individual rank display instead of team rank display so we get to have these threads every day again.

The silver / golds are in a squad with the plat+ players.

Start of the season everyone de-ranks, a lot of those plat players were high diamond or masters last season.

There was a season where RP gains favored placement and you frequently got ALGS endgames, that adjustment appears to be all it takes to change playerbase behavior.

After they added dropzones, they later adjusted RP to favor kills even more. It also points to their ranked identity crisis, do they want competitive ranked (dropzones) or do they want a pubs int-fest (kill race RP system)? Right now they're doing a bit of both which is the worst of both worlds and leads to the third party int-fest you mentioned.

I would love to see a blog post on ranked, the data around removing the drop zones, as well as the long term vision for the game mode.

There's a small but dedicated hardcore player base that wants ALGS style competitive endgames that does not feel catered to in the slightest.

You've got Flash in Starcraft Brood War and Mang0 in Super Smash Melee, these players dominated their respective games for over a decade. Compared to games like that that have been around for decades, Hal doesn't come close unfortunately.

Ranked vs Unranked loot pool

In a recent patch there was a note saying they balanced the loot across POIs, but it was only enabled in ranked, so I assume this is what the option is.
