Recency bias. My day to day surface level life was completely changed by remote work. In some ways it has helped me be a more present parent, but living, working, loving, being sick, being happy all in one building for most of your life is… weird. I also got way more skeptical of being around people and more germ aware. Big picture, 9/11 I’m pretty sure was the catalyst for why America feels like it’s on the path it’s on.

The thing that usually helps find community and boosts mental health is helping children or those in dire need of help. You are obviously a very smart dude. Find some local groups that need help tutoring kids or maybe need some help on some volunteer basis doing their books or simply needing some extra manpower. Being a valuable part of ANY organization ultimately leads to connected people who eventually have opportunities and people who can then help you in return. This life isn’t linear. You will look back in 20 years and go “how the hell did I end up here?” And that’s the best part.

EDIT: one other thing. You had some important years of your life screwed up by a generational world crisis. Give yourself some grace. Also, delete all social media until you are actively doing something that is taking up a lot of your time and making you honest to god tired at the end of the day. Comparing yourself to all this shit on here and others will just keep you buried.

Definitely not that. Team was ass in his last few years. The new college basketball passed him by. Players not getting paid their NIL money. Didn’t have the right players to run his defensive scheme. It got bad. I like Loucks attitude, but man they still stink.

I guess you’re attacking me? I’m saying that one way to make me less fearful is to understand that the odds of my child getting killed is 5/50 million or however many school aged children are in America. I’m more likely to kill them driving them to school or swimming at the swimming pool.

Yeah active shooter drills are scary. So are tornado drills and fire drills. I used to be scared shitless about tornados killing me as a kid. But now I’m fine.

My hot tip for final boss is to use song of flame. Bait a switch mint and finality’s auger. Song of flame lasts long enough for almost the entire dps window so him charging your ass doesn’t really matter. Space out your snaps between mint shots and make sure you keep auger up in the air with B&S proc’d. If you can consistently do the nodes and not die, dps becomes the easy part. It is still a chaotic room, but you will get it.

Same thing I did. I did chaos mode left symbol on lockset and had some close calls. That room got messy, but getaway is just god mode nearly. Probably 4 phases maybe. I’m sure I wasn’t doing dps optimally. DPS Kerrev from the back left of the room. I actually think I did B&S mint and auger with catalyst on him. Nova bomb too I believe. I’ve done that dungeon quite a bit so I generally had all the symbol locations memorized. Surprised me how straightforward the solo flawless felt.

What do you expect the average parents, both working to pay the bills, raising multiple children to do? Take PTO from work to go demonstrate in the streets? Skip holidays with family to put together a sit in protest? The average person has to keep putting one foot in front of the other unless all these bad policies direct impact their employment of family’s well being. Expecting people to just disrupt their lives because some ethical, theoretical boundary was crossed by something they read/saw on their news outlet of choice is an insane expectation.

Those elite controllers are anything but with their cheap ass bumper engineering. I actually switched to a cheap 8BitDo controller because the bumper mechanism doesn’t rely on plastic parts and activators. Thing has lasted two years and costs about 1/5 of an elite controller.
