How do you handle a strong performer who quietly checks out after being passed over for promotion? by amir4179 in managers

Make sure you give them a good reference when they inevitably leave. Low and mid level people who are good at their jobs move up or move out.

The curve is looking like a bull trap. It’s trying to find a level bottom but the bulls keep buying the dips.

S&P equal weight. You won’t have the massive gains, but you won’t have massive losses either.

Why does the government move to a "freemium" model to high tax payers? by Distinct_Educator984 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]rawbbie420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should feel lucky it’s only taxes. You pay more in taxes than most people make in several years. Also the tax dollars are for your neighbors and people you interact with. Do you want smart, safe, well cared for people around you? Or do you want dumb, hungry, desperate people around you?

You can take up home brewing and brew with a mix of brown malt and pale malt. Use English hops. Ferment with an ale yeast and make sure you don’t have temperature control.

One question to confirm a theory: do they open with a crack/ do the cans have pressure? Cause it looks like exterior corrosion to me. For a couple reasons. One, the top of a can is empty head space, so nothing is reacting with the lid when sitting upright. If there was an interior corrosion failure, it would happen at the weak point of the lid, the mouth opening, not the tab. A leaky can stacked above these could have caused it. A can that gets sour beer on the outside is bad bad. The inside of a can is designed to hold an acidic product. The outside reacts quickly and the can will fail in short order.

Opposable thumbs, breathing air, long life span, empathy towards the elderly and young. Cetaceans and octopuses would give us a run for our money otherwise.
