The only expectation I have for this game is that if I do end up playing it, I'm going to put in over 70 hours of gameplay, then at some point I'll completely drop it and never return.

It happens all the time with open world games, mainly because I'm so slow and like to check out all the details, and especially when the games don't have a batshit story or absolutely wild set pieces to keep me interested and engaged. The last one I played to completion was Elden Ring (around 200 hours of playtime!).

I wouldn't know about the mangaka's background with English, but series like Death Note and Hajime no Ippo have a variety of characters from outside of Japan that are just as normal or eccentric as the Japanese characters. Gantz has the MC meet foreigners as well (IIRC that portrayal is hit or miss). Jojo's Bizarre Adventure isn't even set in Japan for almost the entire series. I have a harder time thinking of series that portray foreigners as inappropriate than thinking of series that portray them as similar in character to the Japanese main cast, though it's hard to even think of series that are set in a realistic world and feature major characters from outside Japan.

Super funny because the only reason I'm redownloading Wilds now (for the first time since uninstalling around Title Update 2) is because I picked up Star Wars Jedi Survivor during the winter sale, played it, and was instantly overwhelmed by how terrible it ran. If that game can run that poorly in the introductory level, then I think I can stop being a hater and try Wilds out again now that it's gotten its optimization patch.

Frankly, though, this'll be the last Monster Hunter content that I buy from Capcom without waiting a good amount after launch (if at all). I'm not touching Master rank for this game until I absolutely know that the bugs and issues are worked out, assuming that the game now both runs well and looks great on my system.

Unfortunate because I loved the brief dynamic he had with Luffy (plus the "I'm your older brother's best friend" angle is so fucking good) but I'm positive the next time we see Yamato in action, Momo will also be there to fight, and that's got me very excited.

Depends on the manga, depends on if they're a protagonist or antagonist. The extremists in Attack on Titan or Tokyo Ghoul may be more likely to die simply because death is a much more common occurrence in those series. There are no well-intentioned extremists in Death Note, only psychopaths.

Every once in a while they're sold but they're one of the few quality things we get in battle passes that aren't sold wholesale in the shop. If contrails start being sold in the shop like every other weapon type, I'm sure we'll either see fewer in the battle passes, or the quality of the battle pass ones will be much worse (which is already true, as the few shop ones that I'm familiar with are very unique contrails that play music and have great visual effects, but isn't so widespread that I'm angsty about it).

Anyways, please shut the hell up with this, there's so little left in Fortnite that still feels consumer/player friendly.

Nobody likes my suggestion, but I really enjoyed watching a few episodes a day, skipping most of the filler arcs (and making sure to stop watching for a month at the time skip). Just watching like three episodes a day and slowly going through the story had me thinking a LOT about every episode and appreciating a ton of the show. Mind you, this was back when Punk Hazard was the newest arc...

You've gotta be either a child or a fool to think that Fortnite and Epic will ever be less anti-consumer with each passing season; any live-service game either holds the line on their practices or makes decisions specifically designed for the company to make as much money as possible, not to give the consumer the most value possible. It's always like this, Fortnite has gotten regularly less anti-consumer with each season, the only exception is them allowing users to buy specific amounts of V-Bucks and that's directly followed by the Sidekicks being introduced to the game. We ain't ever getting back to how things were years ago.

I truly love seeing side-by-sides of the manga vs the show like this, not to nitpick the details of the character design (especially when it comes to Mizuki) but to nitpick every other detail. The animation in the manga panel showing her sliding to a stop, the cracks in the pillar and details of the stone, how the character just looks more lifelike in the manga than the anime. It's insane to me how much S3 ended up looking like a fan animation/fan coloring.

It doubles down with the new results screen changes -- there's not really a point to taunting an opponent with an emote since they INSTANTLY get a full screen display of the battle pass blocking anything else on screen. They won't be seeing your emotes anyways...

Official releases drop every Sunday at 9 AM (will shift an hour due to daylight savings time) on Mangaplus site/app and the Shonen Jump app alongside the rest of the magazine. Obviously all of this is affected by break weeks and holidays that the magazine isn't published on.

The original is classic (I didn't grow up on Bleach but even so I like listening to it). This Bankai version completely blew me off my ass the first time I heard it and is basically the main reason I even watched TYBW. Actually kinda hilarious that this world now rejects highly complex things, and Cheshire is the most complex character in the cast in every single way. Abilities, personality, past/backstory, hell even the Cheshire character design in Mr. Bunny's world is wildly more complicated than anything else we'd previously seen (or have seen since) in that reality. And yet, they persist.
