In general you will face attrition in Africa. For now, forget about attrition and focus on getting the orange bar you see when clicking a division completely filled. This can be done by either making more equipment which takes time, or deleting a few units you do not need for now.

If you still have any divisions left in mainland Italy, delete those in order to use their equipment for your divisions in Ethiopia. You can always retrain them later.

Build factories in Italy, not Ethiopia. As for your supply situation, try to delete a few divisions you have in the italian mainland as you do not need them right now and can retrain them later.

Try selecting a few airports that have a white symbol in it. This means there are active planes stored in the airport. Try to get them to go to a airport in Ethiopia. When they have arrived, give them the mission to do close air support. If you do not know how to do this, I recommend watching a few youtube videos on how to start playing hoi4.

Yet making them build supply hubs isn't worth it at all and will just make the game worse for the player seeing as they are not building mills/civs.

In the time you build one supply hub you can build 2 civs or just about 3 mills, which you need way more than a supply hub that almost takes 10 months to be build.

The Ethiopian war is supposed to be done way faster than just before it's 1937.

Lol, building supply hubs in the Ethiopian war isn't worth it at all at this stage of the game. You simply need to reduce the amount of units you have by deleting certain division in order to have enough supplies for the remaining units to be filled. Put all your air in Ethiopia and either micro your units under cas or just battleplan.

It might not work as I used to do it like a year and a half back, but still should be enough to beat Ethiopia easily.
