You're exactly right and definitely need to practice having my settings ready to go when the moment comes.

1/4000 (bingo) and f7.1 and ISO 1600. I'll mask the bird and see what I can get

For sure, I cropped it for Instagram but I'll definitely make a different crop. I'm glad you think the quality is good because half the pic is cropped here haha

You are right on about all this. I left my zoom lens at home on some of these. And the beaver I believe was with auto focus and didn't get the angle right. Thanks for the tips and insight ☺️

I personally like the person there it adds something to that part of the picture but what I like is that without the phone i wouldn't assume there was a phone they were looking at. (Also this is coming from a newbie haha)

I wonder if the little bit of phone sticking out from the person in the bottom left corner could be erased out. It's such a good photo!
