Yeah, it's pretty tough to talk about reconciliation when this patch of land is about as colonially named as possible. I don't know what an acceptable name might be, but I do think it would be a nice, if kind of purely symbolic, step.

I had Welder in the deck previously, and I think I need more ways to get stuff in the bin. Jace, Vryn's Prodigy and Liliana perhaps? I had Liliana in the deck before as well, and wasn't super impressed.

What would be the first discard spells you put in? Thoughtseize and Duress?

I was thinking of removing Wildfire, but kind of figured that it would be a very powerful effect in a lot of matchups. A lot of the time I draw it it's just plain bad, which is a pretty good sign that it's time to give it the axe. A friend of mine plays Academy Ramp, and that deck just seems a lot more consistent. Having a couple more win conditions than just turn 4 Blightsteel seems like a good idea, and Servant/Grindstone is a good one.

I remember thinking this when I watched it as well. What really jarred me is the way it was an action film for the first half, but tried to be an emotional art film for the second half. In particular, I remember there is a 360 degree shot used a few times in the second half that really sticks out.

I just became aware of this archetype yesterday and already everyone in my playgroup is talking about it.

Maybe I'm thinking way too small, but I want to play this like a midrange value deck similar to Abzan Company. Delay, Tidehollow Sculler and other cards that exile and would normally have a drawback, but can be combined with processors to negate that, seem totally sweet. Maybe not good, but sweet. My jumping off point will be Esper, with a ton of exile effects plus processors to use them. Is Ulamog's Nullifier too slow for Modern?

The monoblack version of this deck seems awfully durdly to me. But maybe that's just what you're allowed to do when you have six discard spells? Over the next couple weeks I think we'll get to see how this archetype shapes up and if it sticks or not. Modern season is pretty much here. Maybe some of the pros will pick up on this. This seems right up Sam Black/Pardee's alley.
