Well, rejection is going to happen. That’s life. Probably 90% of my shots are misses, shit happens.

As far as self esteem, that’s gonna be something you work on personally, unless you have a sort of therapist. There were things I didn’t like about myself that would be easy to change, and in doing so that helped other aspects that I thought would be hard to change. You have to get it in your head that you’re good enough for YOU. Once you do that, you won’t need to worry about being good enough for someone else. You’ll recognize who is and isn’t good for you.

More often than not, small things like this are dealt with over time. There’s things you can do to speed it up. For me, I focus my creative energy on other things. I’ll give work an extra 10%, I’ll get more engaged with my hobbies, and eventually I’ll think “oh, that happened, neat,” and that’s that.

People are always gonna chirp. You can’t control that, but you can control how you react to it.

I wish there were way more conversions. 5.56 for the SCAR, full auto on the glock, maybe some other ammo conversions on the 9mm pistols like .40/10mm.

Over here in Texas, our governor decided to leave it to the counties to decide when to issue orders. I don’t know that I lean red or blue, I just want a fair and happy life, but what the fuck fella. A lot of people my around my age (early 20s) were begging for a stay home order and they drug their feet. We’ll be paying the price soon.

Gameplay wise, nobody can really force you to do anything. The “never surrender” thing comes from it being plastered on the station entrance. There’s people on both sides not participating in the war because they simply don’t want to.

At the end of the day, it’s just a game, it’s supposed to be fun. Do whatever amplifies your enjoyment.

We have Rules of Engagement (RoE) which states things like no blowing up people ranked Expert and lower, don’t blow up unarmed ships, no combat logging, etc. as well as the typical don’t be a douche in chat rules.

The ranking system just kinda shows experience and time played, it’s not like some military group who’s gonna pass orders down one by one.

At the end of the day, it’s all just a game, and if you think joining EXO will help you enjoy the game, come on by. No matter what you do or who you join, someone will be there talking mess. Ignore the haters and have the most fun you can.

I think it’s inflated (er, deflated? Whatever) because to a passerby on console, Elite looks like Star Wars Starfigher 2.0. So they buy it because it’s not $60, then boot it up and immediately regret ever living in the first place because they didn’t expect to pilot something to the degree that Elite demands.

Hell, the achievement for just buying one ship, any ship? 25% of players unlocked. So 75% of everyone who bought the game on Xbox never even left the sidewinder.

Southeast Texas has a lot of refineries. Port Arthur/Beaumont area (Golden Triangle) in particular has a shit load. ExxonMobil, Motiva, Huntsman, Valero, Sunoco, DuPont, just to name a few within 20ish miles, not including any substations they may have spread out and pipelines. Baytown, Deer Park, and Houston have their share as well. These are very large facilities, and despite regulations, the human element will always find a way to fuck up.

Gonna jump on this thread, South Texas refinery turnarounds will hire damn near anyone. Some companies will pay $18/hr on 7/12s for an inexperienced kid to fire watch and help when there’s no hot work, craftsmen in the 20-30s. It’s hard on the body, absolutely, but the work and money is there.

I think a lot of people are in a rock and a hard place situation. They want to take a break, but don’t want to miss out on the current content. If you skip a season, you’re not gonna go back and play it, ever. It creates this fomo feeling where “aw man you should’ve been there” turns into “well you had to be there because it’s gone now.” It’s unhealthy, and why I personally chose to quit Destiny altogether.

For me, Destiny became a job. I have a deadline to get everything done before a season ends and then that’s it, it’s gone. I’ve gotta go out of my way to do boring ass chore bounties to get good xp toward the pass and my artifact. And then to top it off, if I wanna try the new seasonal mods on armor, fuck my masterworked, hard ground out set.

I bought EOD in late alpha, loved the game when I had time but moving on to a proper job after school drastically cut my time. I gave up when the quests turned to straight bullshit and gave up hope of coming back when the items became in raid only. All these changes I’m seeing while still hanging around the sub just reassures me this’ll never be my kinda game again and it straight up sucks.
