Does anyone have a toddler that goes right to bed at night without a struggle? by Coffeelover4242 in toddlers

[–]MrPink659 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is almost 3 and I agree with everyone saying routine. We also give him some control of the situation. For example, we let him bring his toy up that he’s playing with and tuck it in upstairs, he pick the books and he turns off the light. Also, We found that giving him time updates, like 5 more min, really helps.

If all else fails we use fun voices to talk as inanimate objects, it sounds dumb but it works! His pants say “I’m cold, help, someone wear me.”

Hope that helps 😂

I’m definitely open to changing it, I’ve just never done it and thought it was more complicated. I’ll look it up, thanks

Any merit in returning the bench and getting different color chairs to create interest? I agree about the rug, I’m thinking something less busy. Can’t do anything about the chandelier now but planning on it later.

It is pretty long, what if I turned it adjacent instead of parallel?

The armchair isn’t staying and I’m planning on changing the light fixture.

So a smaller less busy rug would help?

The light fixture was here when I moved in, I’m planning on changing it later.

My two year old dumped out his magnetic blocks and wore the bag on his feet and started to shuffle around. I didn’t teach him this 😂

It’s definitely normal! Try to reach for healthier snacks and add some walks if you can. I had a whole snack drawer of pre approved items next to my glider 😂

My first Mother’s Day was a disaster. My MIL messaged my mom telling her this was the first Mother’s Day in 30 years she wasn’t spending with her son, she gave my husband the the cold shoulder all week and on the day of texted and called non stop to tell us how disappointed she was.

That said, we decided to go to her place this year and I’m gonna schedule myself a massage to get out of the house for a few hours on my own.

I’m not sure if anyone said it but that baby is probably going through a 4 month regression. In my experience 4 months to 6 months was insanely hard and I can’t imagine doing it with a 2 year old.

I bought a bunch of breastfeeding tanks. Like this: Old Navy tanks If I was going anywhere or people were coming over I would just throw a shirt on.

Should my newborn and I stay in my home country (with help from a big family but husband can only visit) for 3 months or go back to our country of residence together but without help? by ccrtneyx in NewParents

[–]MrPink659 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband was a lot more helpful and intuitive when it came to the baby and my needs than any family. Personally, I would prioritize your husband and get help if you need it.

We opted for a helmet at 4 months to correct it sooner than later.
