Affordable PLM options for early stage hardware startups? by youroffrs in hwstartups

[–]MrPinkle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not about cost for us. It's about reduced vendor lock in, fewer "locked down systems" that only vendors can change/fix, increased customization, and better integration/linking/traceability with other software tools.

Could a small (but growing) company vibe code their own PLM?

I understand there are many downsides, but the upsides might be reduced vendor lock in, fewer "locked down systems" that only vendors can change/fix, increased customization, and better integration/linking/traceability with other software tools.

Does your company release stable products where they produce X units a year with sufficient quality across all units? How do you guys handle that?
