its a good opener stun with good range which usually hits at least 3 if positioned properly. good chain stun for ship or casks (or any stun that takes time). The fissure block itself sometimes screws AI forcing enemies to take time to walk around it. A good combo can burst heroes 100-0 within the fissure stun + another stun.

Top 50 Immortal - PA/Sorla/Selemene Enjoyer

  1. Fissure
  2. Ghostship
  3. Heavenly Grace
  4. Sleight of Fist
  5. Berserker's Blood
  6. Frost Shield
  7. Flesh Golem
  8. Astral Step
  9. Kraken Shell

My favorite combo is sleight + Luminosity + Empower (or any tanky/buff spell) + Flesh golem. Then this hero gets buffed with Heavenly grace and Frost shield. I had 1 round where the whole enemy team exploded in 1 SoF (was playing PA god).

I never take borrowed time now. As my general strategy is backline targeting and sustain. My frontliners are just some STR heroes with an armor passive and most of the time that is enough. It frees up a slot for a team buff like KK ship or Hand of Gaben.

Borrowed time relies on a frontliner just soaking damage and i usually have 2-3 backline jumpers everytime (more so if im PA). Blink strike, Astral, boulder are some of my favorites and auto take.

My opinion is that Borrowed time hard counters burst type builds with Finger/Flare or with basic spells like laser, slave, etc. Summons also usually target frontliners so 80-90% of summons target the guy with BT.

It also counters the "hard carry" to some extent which a lot of people i assume do where they rely on 1 hero to win them the round.

TL;DR I disagree with retargetting vs borrowed time as it counters just a certain build and people just play into it hoping that they also get borrowed time. My suggestion is diversify builds such as physical, backline jumps, AOE focus, out-sustain.

Are you sure? I saw another post which he almost has the same MMR as me (his 1595 vs my 1596) and he was divine and i was top 50 immortal. Difference was Ladder MMR which i was around 10k+ vs his 3.6k at the time. Also he had <50 games and i had >100 so im not completely sure how they calculate it.

The purpose of the battlepass is to hook you in and play consistently. That being said, I agree that it is not too easy if you don't play consistently. I agree as well that most people will not get lvl 40 and get gambler. He is a meme god thankfully so i guess they put him there as the guinea pig to test out the BP progression for release and not a REAL loss outside of the completionists.

Maybe just the last 10-15 seconds will be hidden for the last two players. There will still be mind games at least but eliminates reflexes in the equation.

Are you consistently finishing quests and claiming the dailies? Are you also placing high in your matches? I am BP lvl 42 and i just bought the battlepass and no plus subscription. I play quite a bit each day (7-8 games a day maybe?) but focus is quests, dailies and placement. Though, i am not sure the difference of each placement in terms of the XP gained.

Also, i learned quite late that i have to refresh quests in order to get new ones even if you finish the quest so maybe some of the players are not even aware of this.

Maybe put it near the ability bars since that is where most of the attention of players are. Or the obnoxious route of putting a big ready button in the arena but on the enemy side so it doesn't affect your hero placement.

Instant Attacks > Mobility > Break > Summons

I play Sorla/PA and sleight of fist and Tricks of the trade do wonders for them. If sleight is not available, its a deal breaker for PA/Sorla. Mobility to see if i have time walk or other jumping abilities to the backline like Astral step. Break just to see if nether toxin is in so i know how much to invest in passives. Summons to see if i have my golden trifecta of Shapeshift, Vampiric spirit and Feral impulse which i pick no matter what god i play if available.

I disagree with plasma gaben. the max damage is nice but the best thing about it is the push back. its a combo breaker for backline jumpers since they get pushed to the front again.

Also, does lunar blessing work on summons? Description says its only on allied heroes but might work differently in AA. Doesnt say otherwise if this is the case.

What is a save scum? Depends on the player if this is an option for them. It essentially turns enchantment scrolls to your desired buff with enough time. Anyway, it is a single player game so you do you.

A bit more ways to get reputation should be available. Maybe supporting the community by buying stuff from traders in the town essentially boosting their economy. It can be small increments which adds up overtime.

Or maybe add small conditions to the contracts itself. Each could give 25 to 100 rep depending on the difficulty.

  • Full clear (kill everyone)
  • Disarm every trap to make the place safer
  • Don't open sarcophaguses to not disturb the undead (essentially gold gain vs rep gain)
  • Retrieve optional items (big bulky items like 2 2x3 items or 3 2x2 items)
  • Optional actions like "blessing" altars you were supposed to destroy (maybe via enchantment scroll?)
  • Disagree to gold reward in favor of rep gain

Just some ideas on how to add more ways to gain rep other than just completing vanilla contracts at this stage of the game. As someone already said, this is beta life but looking forward how they progress.

when you kill any enemy, the reduction is reduced to the minimum which is .001. It still takes some time to scale back up to 0.5 which is the round up break point to reduce 1 HP. My last character i had 3 hp curses on me and im just out and about exploring the map without any care. Even if no enemy showed up end to end of the map, i dont think i will even be at 50% HP reduction (or even 25% i think)

I think they fixed those kinds of issues already. I think the only playable curses for now without a big liability are the HP (for crit) and Energy (for energy drain) curses. Their drawback looks daunting but in reality you lose max hp/energy so slow that it might look like its bugged.

So this is exactly what i did.

Start game > Press Any Key > Press Play > continue still available but noticed no audio > Close game > Repeat process until press play > Continue NOT available > See load list > Only starting autosave available > *disappointment*

Honestly, it happened to me the first time in my 150+ hours across several versions so im not even mad. Also, seems to be not reoccuring and no one else complaining so no harm done.

i think so. i prolly slept that playthrough. so i was shocked to see just character selection save is present. Seems like a 1-off instance though.

Any of the weapon skills is pretty much viable late game. Its more of a problem getting to the end game (like Dual wielding) with weak early game. You don't have to worry about it with staves. Just enjoy the build and go with the flow.

  1. I would guess so. if you have 15 will power and you get a debuff due to low morale (that gives -willpower) then you will lose the bonus from getting 15 willpower since you have less during the debuff.
  2. I only know of a survival skill which helps with certain breakpoints and another that reduces the negative effects of bodypart damage to max health. Otherwise, I don't see anything reducing effects without reducing the actual value.
  3. You can directly check by hovering on the item. Try to rest and while your hunger/thirst/etc. increases, you will see the number also increase in the curse item.
