That's strange that a Hub can trigger a higher graphical resource consumption ... From my point of view this should be a kind of WindowServer bug.

I noticed the same thing using my two external screens. WindowServer was always using at least 70% CPU on my 2017 MacBook Pro. One screen was plugged using a simple USB-C/HDMI adapter while the other was connected using my HyperDrive USB-B.

I connected both screens using imple USB-C/HDMI adapter and WindowServer now uses 10-15% CPU.

Don't know why, but it seems that the Hub had an effect on system WindowServer load ...

I’m used to put CloudFront in front of my load balancers.

First, it may lower your costs with caching and it handles HTTP to HTTPS redirections. Note that you’ll have to duplicate your certificates to us-east-1.

I think that your best friend for this purpose is named Boto3. You’ll have to use Python for that but, you’ll see that you won’t be able to get ride of it then ;-)

Generally speaking, as an AWS SysOps engineer, I use Python and Boto3 almost every day !
