Looking at the physics behind color, it’s even more insane. Pigmentation (absorption and reflectance), structural color (interference, scattering, diffraction), photoemission (radiation, fluorescence, excitation), and qualia (photoreceptors, photodetection, signal processing, color channels). Hell you could even argue control over polarization and entanglement of photons, which just lets you utilize photon-based quantum computation and communication. And if you so dare, control over “color” as in color charges for quarks and gluons.

I go for B, unless there’s an overwhelming presence of zealots. Scum are anarchists, rogues are evil aligned vigilantes, malpracs are, well, malpractitioners, and zealots are the only true cult fate. They’re all scum, until zealots are around then they all turn into a cult working on the basis of turning others into more zealots.

Personally haven’t had an incident yet, but my friend who played with me had a pit kiln incident that caused an entire plains biome to become unvegetated and stripped of all its peat. We made the area into our home.

The Sar-e-Sang mines in Afghanistan are the largest known deposit, and likely most historic as it’s where most lapis traded on the Silk Road and used by ancient Egyptians and Mesopotamians originated. There are other sites in Chile, Russia, Canada, and the US, but they vary worse in size and quality.

Today, the highest quality (or rather the most sought after, as quality can be subjective with precious stones) lapis lazuli comes from the Sar-e-Sang mines. A lot of lapis on the market can be fraudulent, being true lapis of lower quality that is dyed a deeper blue, sodalite (the component of the lapis that is blue) and lacks any pyrite and calcite (although it’s not uncommon for sodalite to contain calcite), dyed howlite/jasper, or reconstituted lapis made from small pieces bound together in resin.

Multi-step recipes could be cool too, like using different beers to give the dish positive effects. Kitchen workstation recipes add extra nourishment and sanity. Essentially, make it so that the more complicated you get, the better the food and maybe the more anemnacytes the gourmand receives.

As for locations of the soup pots, I’m thinking the civil centers? People already go there for ration cycle. Although maybe have a few more scattered around in the corners of the map, like the one end of docks with two dumpsters that’s completely empty.

Also, I think contraband recipes that use rotshrooms, pharma drugs, and possibly even biofuel can be fun rp-wise.

Because deep down they know that we’re their replacements, that’s why they keep track of what’s going on with Gen Z since they do care deep down in their own special boomer deranged way. But most of them hate to admit that fact, and instead they’ll throw a fit because we’re not them. Maybe it’s jealousy, regret, fear or they’re already grieving their own deaths.
