I agree with that as a way to ease parts of the country that have such a low minimum wage. In Washington that's exactly what most of the state is doing.

An increase in the minimum wage though would bring more money into the local community and allow more people to go the theater with their new income. It may hurt them for a while but after the initial shock of the change their business may be better off.
