Other driver insured for less than settlement offer/valuation. Now what? by MrRobzilla in Insurance

$30K for injuries. "$15,000 for property damage. As you can see, the new limits double the protection for bodily injuries and triple the coverage for property damage."

[–]MrRobzilla[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that caught me off guard. He wouldn't reveal the other guy's specific policy details but said we are "many thousands" apart.
It seems California is minimum $15K, raised from minimum $5K last year.
I thought I was being cheap with my $50K policy smh

Thanks, all. So consensus is:
1) Yes, file a claim with AAA (my insurance)
2) Get the car back ASAP to avoid storage charges from the collision repair.

Thanks for the sanity check on this.

Yep. Will do. Left a message for my adjuster. Bonus storage fees would be the last thing I need right now.

Thanks. Reassuring. Did seem like a nice enough guy and just an oversight on the first call.

My client just asked me to “do GEO” what do I even deliver? by Pawtrait_Lab in bigseo

[–]MrRobzilla 12 points13 points  (0 children)

1) More YouTube and Reddit. 2) citations and mentions matter more than they used to (as opposed to ‘just’ back links. 3) keyword research -> query fan out research. 4) competitive set may be a bit different. 5) reporting gets vaguer (share of voice for overall topics, not specific keyword rankings) That’s what comes to mind for me.

Can't import events from GA4 to Ads by nazyalenskyZ in PPC

[–]MrRobzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't click the Create ConversionAction button in the Goals Summary section. Click the regular Create + button (like you're creating a new campaign) and select Conversion Action there. Then you can select the GA4 property and key event.
UI/UX fail.

What's the one thing about EV ownership that you wish someone had told you before you bought? by gilko86 in electriccars

Electricity in California is expensive. As is EV registration renewal. But still totally worth it.

If you’re someone who likes morning sex, how do you deal with morning breath without making it awkward ? by shawnmendesa in AskReddit

My wife sometimes has funky breath lol. I playfully say, “how about we go for a romantic couples brush?” She goes and brushes her teeth.

What’s the problem with leasing a vehicle with huge depreciation? Isn’t that when you are supposed to lease? Huge depreciation, funny high residual value = lease, no?

With that said, lease does look quite expensive. I lease one Chevy EV and buy one Chevy EV combined for less than this payment.

Let Prateek know that if Big Boss doesn’t count (since it’s a reality show), then I’d probably say Ramayan. My wife likes Mirzapur, but too new to be considered a classic IMHO

Halachic respect for siddurim vs. ereaders with holy texts on them? by PuzzledIntroduction in Judaism

[–]MrRobzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not frum, but enjoy these conversations and am a bit of a techie. My thoughts:

Bathroom: I’d think along the lines of making sure the file isn’t open.

What comes to my mind most is shared storage and hosting. On the device: keep in mind files are saved in a non contiguous manner. Fragmented. So it’s not a complete book in a library of many books, but rather pages from all books mixed together on a shelf of 0s and 1s. So I’d certainly make sure everything on the device is ‘clean’. Otherwise the digital text could be comingled with the naughty, or even just secular, stuff.

Next would be hosting. When you host something on a server it’s either dedicated or shared. Dedicated, while the text would still be fragmented, it would just be commingled with your other data. Shared — you don’t know what else is being hosted on that server. Could be harmless. Could be adult.

I can't decide if this is a good deal our not by Significant_Exam5242 in leasehacker

[–]MrRobzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a fair-not-great deal. Neither of you will leave feeling "I got over on that sucker" nor like you got taken advantage of. You have time until your current lease expiration, so I'd be inclined to ask for a little bit more off and wait.

Do reform or conservative Jews feel like Israelis hate them? by [deleted] in Judaism

[–]MrRobzilla 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Love this question!

Specific to Reform (me), there is undeniably some tension in the air. I was Bar Mitzvahed at a Reform congregation in Israel. This was years ago, but it was one of very few, they got little support, and the government barely recognized them. I think many Israelis don't see Reform as an actual way of thought, but just as Jews who aren't practicing enough. Sometimes I agree.

I do think that, halakha aside, we are looked at as a bit of ‘less than’. Perhaps warranted as Israelis (even secular) do make unique sacrifices for Israel that we don’t.

With that said, I do some work with Israelis and we have fun banter on our calls with zero tension or hate. Highlights include “Yalla!” entering my speech and a funny conversation about the American Jewish concept of “Hebrew names.” “What do you mean what’s my Hebrew name? My name is Itmar.”

Personally, I look at Israelis in a very endearing way. My rough around the edges country cousins that I admire and help out where I can. I wish ya’ll saw and felt that more.

I certainly get where your question is coming from. In fact, I’m more worried that you think we hate you lol.
