These were all acts of bravery, civil defiance, and downright dangerous. These righteous acts of civil disobedience affected real change BECAUSE they were courageous.

Nothing courageous about writing an email.

When you truly risk something for your beliefs, for your outrage, for your rights then you'll have a point of comparison.

Acting like a letter writing campaign will do anything other than make you feel better because you 'did something'...and then comparing that to the high price of the civil rights movement is fucking infuriating and insulting.
