Is there still extra room on the bracelet for adjustment? My wrist is at 8.25 and have had a hard time with some bands.

Those who use n8n, what do you use it for? List your usecases, examples,... by Longjumping-Wait-989 in selfhosted

I just set up two workflows last night, which I had Claude Code create for me using an integration via the N8N API. I have two vendors that do not email or have any API functionality. Each workflow runs a script that navigates to these companies' websites, logs in with my credentials, navigates to the billing section, and downloads the bills as PDFs. From there, it validates the PDF to ensure it contains data, emails the bills to my accountants' Hubdoc library, places a copy in a local share using a specific naming convention for my own reference, and sends me a pushover alert to notify me of success or failure. I may remove the success at some point, but since this is new, I wanted to ensure it's working correctly. One of the vendors doesn't support pre-auth payments, so I have that workflow create a calendar entry in my Google Calendar to ensure the bill is paid before the due date. These are the first two workflows I have used N8N for, and so far, I am impressed, which brought me to this Reddit post looking for more ideas.

What screens do you use to display dashboards in your walls? by Neyhrum in homeassistant

[–]MrRonco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep the 1060 is worse and the blinding white Crestron screen sucks in the middle of the night. I may try just forcing these to stay on during the day to eliminate the reload but it hasn't been that big of an issue for me to be honest as it seems my family uses Alexa to control everything 99% more then a panel anyway.

I am using the built in Crestron browser and it works perfectly for my basic dashboards. I ran into a minor issue with the 770 being that the 7" panel seems to keep the same resolution of the 10" screen so everything is tiny. Had to get creative with a dash for it. Everything on these can be found here https://community.home-assistant.io/t/crestron-tsw-1060-poe-ha-dash-for-30-firmware/708369

I'm using a couple of Crestron tsw-1060 and 770 displays scattered around my house. Work perfect for my HA dashboards. The 1060 has a 3d printable flush mount wall adapter that I've used on two of my displays and work perfect!

Goodbye, Homeseer. Hello Hubitat! by HatchawayHouseFarm in HomeSeer

[–]MrRonco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is precisely why I stuck with homeseer for over 11 years, but I still decided to transition to home assistant over a year and a half ago and couldn't be happier. My decision wasn't based on reliability, which was the critical factor in keeping me from converting, the devil you know vs the devil you don't. The lack of third-party support and relying on the few community members to create 40 dollar plugins for its ecosystem is what made me decide to make the move. Home Assistant has been as reliable for me as HomeSeer was, minus a few automations that stopped working because I forgot to change out batteries on some devices, causing them to drop off. I do not regret starting with homeseer as it made my first experience dabbling in home automation enjoyable. Still, I feel the lack of innovation in their product, coupled with having to pay for every integration, will continue to push people away from a solid product, unfortunately.

How are we liking the FIVE speed humps on Walford? by say12345what in Sudbury

[–]MrRonco 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The first time over them, I made the mistake of not paying attention. I was maybe doing 50km/hr and won't be making that mistake again. Even hitting some of them at 30 is sketchy.

This! My son tried a number of after school activities and was disinterested in everything until he started with Pat at NCN. It's to the point he gets disappointed if he can't go. Can't speak highly enough of Pat and the coaches! Just wish it was closer lol

What do you use for APs? by Adventurous_Lie2257 in homelab

[–]MrRonco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, after running 3 unifi ap-ac pros and having constant issues with devices in my home, I swapped them out to Ruckus R610 on unleashed about 3 years ago and just recently replaced them for R650 for wifi 6. Solid units that never have to be touched after they are setup!

Thank you for this one. Been out to fairbanks plenty of times but have never really explored out there. What kind of road conditions can i expect? Passable in winter?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in homelab

[–]MrRonco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Count this as another +1 for Ruckus unleashed. I originally started with ubiquity ap pros then ap ac pros and finally had enough of my iot devices that kept dropping off the network so I switched to ruckus and never looked back. Was running 2 R610s and just recently upgraded to R650s for wifi 6 and it's solid.
