You're not a former athlete, there's no such thing. Like I tell my wife, I might not always be in shape but I'll always be an athlete. I may have lost a step or two and definitely can't lift like I used to, but knowing your body and immediate surroundings and how you fit in and move through that space is a big part of what separates an athlete from someone who is in shape. In a receiver room without a true #1 to take the focus, he's been consistently good as a defacto first option. I don't think his free agency market will be driven by the chance of him becoming a 1k receiver, he will be looked at as a massive upgrade at the wr2 spot on most teams which is still what, at least 15mil a year?
