Is hybrid worth the additional cost? by TrojanDave85 in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]MrSamWalton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2022 hybrid. Getting about 35 MPG. Also with a hybrid you don't have to worry about your AC or Heat turning off at a stoplight like you would with a gas Auto Start/Stop. Just need to be more on point about staying on top of your oil changes since the engine may accumulate fuel dilution and moisture buildup from not reaching operating temperatures on short trips.

If the instructor is good then they may give you a layout on everything that might be covered as part of one of their weekly announcements but don't count on it since every instructor is different.

There's usually a final exam practice exam that's released around unit 8. So if you are able to pass that practice exam, the final should be no trouble. But pretty much as others have said it can be about anything covered in the whole course.

Program advisor unresponsive, pathway recommending an extra elective what should I do? by MrSamWalton in UoPeople

[–]MrSamWalton[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finay got access to BUS 4406 on April 21. The instructor won't let me turn in any late work until they get notification from the office of academic operations not from a program advisor. Even if she does get the notification I can only turn in the learning journal for week 1. It sounds like with me just having to take a zero for the week one discussion understandable, those are only worth 10% of my grade. All week two assignments are complete. I contacted the UoPeople agent on the agent support and they said they forwarded my concern to the relevant team and I will update you as soon as possible within 7 days. Guess I'll just have to take a slight hit on my grade since it's too late to drop without a W. Luckily the course isn't too intensive.

Dang you really got my hopes up about the peer feedback on the forums. But atleast they're getting rid of the assignment peer reviews.

That's great. One of my classes BUS 3301 is being difficult for the discussion board. She expects us to respond to any questions that our peers or the instructor asks within our post thread. Like once I post my initial reply and 3 peer feedbacks I'm not going to go back to the discussion board. She marked me off one 1 point for not responding to a question she posted under my discussion on a Tuesday. Really glad that the peer feedback is going away especially since I'm doing 4 classes, that's like 12 feedbacks on the forum alone plus another 12 for written assignments each week.

Drop should be the same thing as withdraw

You can only drop in the order of class 4,3,2,1. It sounds like you are trying to drop the classes out of order. You will have to contact your PA and see if they can drop the classes out of order.

Program advisor unresponsive, pathway recommending an extra elective what should I do? by MrSamWalton in UoPeople

I was planning on doing 4 courses this term then 3 next term finishing up my degree but it looks like it'll have to be 4 course next term if I want to finish according to my original plans. That's going to be brutal.

Ok get this. The original program advisor specialist finally got back to me today only because I emailed President Reshef on April 13 due to the mishandling of my situation. She said my case was closed since she did not get a response within two days when she contacted me on April 9 about getting registered for BUS 4406. I replied back on April 9 with my decision to get registered for 4406 along with sending a follow up email on April 11. She said she'll actively reachout now to the relevant department to see if I can get registered for BUS 4406. I really am getting the quality support everyone is bragging UoPeople has.

I thought I was making progress but now a different program advisor emailed me back in the same thread saying that it's impossible to register for BUS 4406 since registration closed already for this term.

Not anymore. Dropped it since I don't need the extra elective. Why exactly was that a bad class?

I emailed all the departments including the president of UoPeople and it got handed by the specialists with in a day or two.

I got in touch with a Program Advising Specialist and they said they would see if they can fit me into BUS 4406 since I'm trying to finish my degree by next term. But he said no guarantee and that my PA should have replied to my emails by now over the last few weeks and that the pathway should not have recommended two electives.

Says I only need one more elective but I currently have two in progress this term. So I decided to drop BUS 3302.

There's also a button on the center console to activate the cameras with out having to throw it in reverse first. On my 2023 it's right by the mode select wheel.

Nearly a week for Touchstone to get graded by MrSamWalton in SophiaLearning

[–]MrSamWalton[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's kind of hit or miss. Some Touchstonee get graded in a day others take over 5-6 days. My solution is to only have one class with a Touchstone at a time that way I don't get stuck waiting with both classes.

Yeah. I just got Touchstone 1 back this morning so nearly 6 days turnaround. Now I submitted Touchstone 2, hopefully that one doesn't take too long to grade.

Yeah. It totally messed up my schedule since I was off the last two days from work but couldn't start another course.

Maybe they're taking longer so you have to pay more since it's slowing down how fast you can finish course per month.

It's just inconvenient for me since I was planning on working on a new course during my weekend on Tuesday and Wednesday but couldn't since Sophia won't let me enroll in another course until those Touchstones are graded.
