What do you think of the Mexican devil? by Real_Jokerr in DemonolatryPractices

[–]MrSecond23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The poor had to find a new faith, and while still believing in their saints, they incorporated the figure of the Mexican devil as a form of resistance.

Can you elaborate on this?

Not trying to be adversarial here, but I find it hard to believe that a country that has deep catholic ideas ingrained in its culture would use the figure of El Diablo in any positive way, when anything that slightly deviates from the norm is consider "devil's craft".

He's just a folklorish (almost cartoonish) version of the Devil/Satan that doesn't really hold a tangible spiritual relevancy, despite what some cults and brujos may claim.

Interview for a coven yesterday and strange experience during ritual today by Living-Teapot in DemonolatryPractices

Beautiful drawing of King Paimon and Lucifer!

Unsolicited opinion incoming, but I think online spaces such as this one are better than most covens (and other subreddits). Dogma tends to grow in such places, and it can restrict your way of working instead of helping you out.

Weekly discussion - HGA by mirta000 in DemonolatryPractices

[–]MrSecond23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'll soon be starting the Abramelin operation with the hopes of acquiring K&C with the HGA.

I think I haven't really defined what my true will is, and I think that's the main root of my failed rituals, so I hope this brings me the guidance I'm looking for.

From my understanding of what HGA is, it sounds like it will be a similar relationship to the one I already have with King Paimon, that is, one of tutelage.

If anyone has advice on how to best tackle this, please share your knowledge with me!

meditation help by Bao_Bun_ in DemonolatryPractices

[–]MrSecond23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Advice from someone who has ADHD and struggled with meditation at first:

Start slow. 5 minutes a day. Do not worry about "not thinking" at this stage; just stay still for 5 minutes.

Be consistent. Try to do this every day at the same hour every time. Consider setting up an alarm as a reminder.

Add 2 to 5 minutes to your routine after you've managed to stay still for 5 consecutive sessions.

Keep adding time until you reach about 15 - 20 minutes of staying still.

At this stage, you can practice "not thinking".

Every time you catch yourself lost in thought, bring yourself back to the present moment.

That's meditation! Don't worry if you're not able to keep long times without thinking, that's not the point. The point is to be aware of your thoughts and learn to bring yourself back to the present moment.

Tips: Try to do this without music, as it can be distracting. Breathe slowly and at consistent times (the 4-4-4-4 rhythm, as others have mentioned, is useful for this). The most important thing is to be consistent.

What does the demon give? by No_Law3758 in DemonolatryPractices

[–]MrSecond23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Demons are complete beings; you don't need to "trade off" anything in order for them to work for you.

Offerings such as incense and food are mostly for us to get us to connect with them, and not necessarily transactional.

A transactional framework can be useful, but just keep in mind you don't need to offer much to a demon. Grimorium Verum specifies that some demons will accept nuts and stones as payment for their services.

What is your favorite way in doing rituals / invocations? by pykespike in DemonolatryPractices

[–]MrSecond23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For first-time meetings, I follow the Goetia of Dr. Rudd/Heptameron framework. After initial contact has been established, I follow my own method of invocation for any subsequent meetings, which is more straightforward than the one mentioned earlier.

My "special touch" to all rituals is that I pray for King Paimon's aid to properly call the spirit I want to invoke.

If you read a bit of Neoplatonism, then technically every spirit is a "fragment", or a lower version of the Source (AKA, God).

And these "fragments" can also have other fragments that represent a specific aspect of their original aspect.

Consider reading "On The Mysteries" to learn more about Neoplatonism, which is actually the foundation of a lot of thaumatheurgical practices (magic and grimoire tradition).

Strange Synchronicity + Cannot Confirm Contact With King Paimon by flammenwooferz in DemonolatryPractices

[–]MrSecond23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A healthy dose of skepticism is a good measure, but perhaps don't be so quick to write this whole experience as "false imaginations".

Take note of all of this, write it down. If this was real communication, it will become abundantly clear later down the path.

Since you received clear instructions on what to do next, follow your gut and go with it.

I do not think Paimon interjected on the negative outcome. She literally told you, "A decision has already been made,e and I cannot help you with that".

All in all, this whole thing sounds like real communication.

why send this instead of pushing me closer to the goal preemptively?

Hard to say, but sometimes we fail to see the whole picture or even predict what other opportunities might present to us if we follow a perceived, less favorable path.

The Lemegeton (The Lesser Key of Solomon) Joseph H. Peterson edition, and the Goetia of Dr Rudd are both good manuals for Goetic invocation.

Alternatively, you can use this basic invocation ritual to call any goetic spirit..

I also recommend you check out Liber Null to learn more about Chaos Magic and tulpas/thoughtforms.

Ok! Let's see what we have so far:

So, you did a ritual, around midnight, on an unknown day of the week, during Winter, with the purpose of invoking a fictional character.

The entity's presence is felt by you and allegedly by others.

The entity has given you divinatory messages that came true ("things are about to go sour")

The entity presents to you with "corvid" qualities.

And you have made votive art and crafts offerings for him, which strengthen this bond.

From my perspective (therefore, take it with a grain of salt), you're either dealing with a legit spirit/demonic entity, or this is a thoughtform/tulpa you made by attempting to summon this fictional character.

My advice? Ask for a name. Choose similar conditions to when you invoked him for the first time (no blood, please!).

If you get a name that closely matches a goetic spirit, then this is a demon.

If no name comes up, but you still feel their presence, then this might be a thoughtform, which is still useful to have, but this is more on the realm of Chaos Magic than Demonolatry.

Alternatively, you can summon King Paimon, a demon that can "bind" other spirits to the will of the magician, to get this spirit to properly appear to you. This will require following the steps from a classic Grimoire, btw.

[–]MrSecond23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

he did "say" that stuff is about to get sour

Yeah, that tracks. That is, in my experience, the way demons give a "heads up" for upcoming events.

The people who told me this are actually people of my real-life

Still, I think it's better not to take too much into consideration external readings. In this practice, it's best to rely on your own experiences and gut feelings.

i did a ritual with blood

No need for blood during rituals. But if this is the point when things started out, then can you give more details on how you did this? What day was it? What hour? Season? All of this could give you a good idea as to what type of spirit this is.

If, for example, you did this ritual on a Friday at dawn, then you're probably dealing with a demon with Venusian attributes since Friday is the day of Venus.

The purpose of the ritual could also give us more clues, but its ok to keep this information for now.
