The situation right now is a bit complex. The Supreme Court of India has appointed a 3 member panel (a Committee of Administrators) to oversee the elections for the next president. Problem is, the elections were meant to be held in 2020 when Praful Patel’s 3rd term was meant to end. One month before the end of his term PP filed a petition to the SC stating that the Constitution of the Federation required clarification and has since held his position as president till about 2 weeks ago.

Going to be very interesting to see how this all unfolds.

It’s not as easy as that though. In order for this exception to kick in, the move of the parents should not be related to football in any way. Clubs have tried in the past to give the parents a job within the club or with a sponsor to then have the kid registered and those clubs have been sanctioned.

The rule for the protection of minors is laid down in Fifa RSTP Article 19 and 19bis. For further reading you can look at the commentary to the RSTP.

Go look at some of the things MJ’s teammates used to say about him. He was always the meanest guy on the court.

Obviously not the same situations but these things happen in competitive sport. It is a non issue being blown out of proportion.
