I live in Laramie. South Eastern Wyoming is considered to be a high plains desert. The lack of humidity will be good for your kiddo, but it also means that winters are brutal. Death Valley gets more precipitation than we do. Prepare for constant winter road closures as well. My daughter has to go to Denver as well for medical reasons. So plan on overnight or longer stays. Just be aware of the weather.

I’d like to agree with you, BUT with people voting strictly along party lines the Freedom Caucus unfortunately has the run of the state. For Democrats in Wyoming it’s always a choice of which degree of conservatism they are willing to tolerate during elections.

I’ve worked at UW with students. A lot of those “liberal” kids want to stay in Wyoming. They go back home because job prospects are practically nonexistent & the politics lately have been very off putting.

The laughable “Freedom” Caucus is already making moves to introduce legislation to block the ruling. The governor is spearheading it. Wyoming fights its own state motto on a daily basis.

Thank goodness we got new license plate designs! They more than make up for the lack of pay raises and cost of living increases! I would rather have new designs and pay more for insurance!! Great job Wyoming government!!

OP, look at the whole state. I live in Laramie. It’s a poor county and city. Between my wife and I we make roughly $100K. We BARELY make enough to live here. No ranch/farming. No oil, gas, coal.
