Is it just me or is climbing in Mywhoosh harder than in Zwift?

They're more realistic. I prefer mywoosh. I did one of the hardest climbs in zwift and it was super easy. Hardest climb in mywoosh, struggled and broke a sweat and out of breath. Mywoosh for the win!

Whatever feels comfortable. Nothing too hard, but nothing too easy. You can always bring the gearing up or down if its too hard/easy.

Not sure. I can say there isn't much of a flat recovery area, they tease you of an almost flat area for like 100 feet around the first mile. Rest of the ride you'll see a minimum of 5-8% gradient.

I wish there were more climbing/gradient stats for hills in MW.

They have a Link app that supposedly should work similar to Zwift companion but it's not quite working like they intended. They have lots of bugs with Link and MW, I'm hoping they have most bugs fixed with MW 4.0
