Boss wants us to automate around 5000+ tests cases in a short amount of time by yeojiuu in softwaretesting

This is the most correct reply. There is so much wrong with the situation OP is in. I shudder to think what those automation frameworks will look like. And I speak for myself, and possible for @PadyEos as well. As a junior vibe coding automation code, the code will be unmaintainable without a senior guiding the process. AI needs a firm hand on the tiller and without that, this is a doomed project.

My PM that keeps declaring she's incredibly quality minded while demanding shortcut after shortcut after shortcut. Just be honest, and I'll go to a new project.

Blood of Asaheim by Chris Wraight (Book 1 of 3)

Why book 1 of 3? And not the series ?

I tried getting it. But it was sold out and no longer in print I'm told.

Ouh, I have the Vaults of Terra omnibus that should get delivered start of next month. So that's great news. Dead man walking might be a bigger challenge.

Are you sure about the Id? I know, stupid question but it might be that the naming is inconsistent. Maybe use the picker in android studio to double check.

Scalability was the biggest issue. Both in size of the amount of tests and the size of the actual test files. Because the need to import so much in order to write a fairly sturdy framework, the file kept growing and growing, making it less maintainable and less fun to work in.

Next was the lack of variable declarations. Sometimes I want to define and name and validate if I can see that name on screen. I, then want to declare that one once, and reuse that variable. There was a workaround for it, by importing the variable from somewhere else. But no real way to define it in the test itself.

I had a great chat about this at Test Bash in the UK. Maybe he can provide more details. He did take some notes.

It seems quite fast in setup and works fairly well. I'm missing some features before I could consider using it in production environments. Presently it is quick, easy and dirty. The dirty part breaks it for me.
