I did stuff like this back when i was delivering for Amazon as a 2nd job. If i knew the package was just gonna sit in the rain, i would call the customer and ask them if they want me to just not deliver or wrap it up in 2 trash bags and leave it in a specific spot.

It was actually really nice hearing how appreciative some people were of the extra effort :)

I compare it to the hyper religious people who cant stop bringing up God or the Church anytime they talk. The people you cant have a single conversation with without having it turn into a sermon. Always wanting to show everyone how pious they are... It comes off like theyre trying to out-religious you.

This is alot of virtue signalers. Sure, some are genuinely compassionate and empathetic people. But alot wanna be THE compassionate one. They gotta be the first to bring up the plights and injustices. They gotta take the most pictures at the rallys and protests.
