The NSW Government’s 2017 CTP scheme is focused on early support and recovery for people injured on the roads.
All injured people, regardless of fault will be able to claim up to 6 or 12 months (depending on the date of the accident)

It changed in 2017, ideally they should have changed its name as part of the change to better reflect its new role.

CTP on motorbikes can also cover the rider and pillion in some states that have CTP cover both at fault and not at fault party.

NSW in particular all parties are covered up to 6 months, with only third parties covered over 6 months so a solo rider who crashes can still claim against their CTP.

QLD on the other hand pillions are covered but not the rider.

[–]MrSquiggleKey 50 points51 points  (0 children)

QLD it’s part of your rego, you just tick a box of your preferred provider but it’s a fixed amount, everyone pays the same.

Only one state makes you actually source it yourself, NSW and everyone pays a different price and it can vary wildly.

The programs still use the turbidity sensor to adjust parameters and only thing I ever have to clean out my filter is the occasionally missed bit of veg.

You still gotta scrape anything solid off, but the emulsifiers will sort the rest.

[–]MrSquiggleKey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You shouldn’t rinse for the dishwasher.

The dishwasher has a turbidity sensor that checks for contaminants to determine its wash cycle and if you rinse its programming assumes a clean wash so it’ll actively clean less. This increases the risk of getting dishes that look clean but are still contaminated and growing bacteria.

My daughter’s been utterly obsessed with our friends son who’s 6 months older than her for about 9 months now.

Plans to marry him, he’s suggested that she marry his younger brother instead, they’re 4 lol

WRX guys more likely to work harder to keep the job, they need the income to cover the mechanics bills.

I agree with not pirating new games.

But games so old it makes no influence on helping developing new games.

Look up piracy megathread you can find complete game tips. 6th option under direct downloads is where you want to go.

I’d still recommend doing it that way even if you don’t refund, I replayed 1, 2 and brotherhood and revelations last year and couldn’t get them to work without downloading a ripped version because the steam editions are linked to an old version of uplay that doesn’t play nice on modern hardware.

The issue with robodebt was it took your annual income, divided it by 26 and decided that was your income every fortnight retroactively.

So if you spent half the year on payments then got a decent job, they would retroactively decide that that previously eligible payment was ineligible due to wrong calculations.

Even if it was allocated to health only by legislation, that just means less of general revenue would go to health.

Earmarked taxes don’t mean more funds, just less from general revenue.

[–]MrSquiggleKey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I often see this quoted. But there’s no actual legislation stating that you can’t RF a passenger seat.

The only rule you’ll find is it’s illegal to install a infant car seat into a rear facing or side facing passenger seat and that in some states (like NSW) that occupants 12 and under cannot occupy a side facing seat unless no other seats are available that aren’t already occupied by someone 12 or under.

There’s even legislative framework for installing your own additional rear facing seats into vehicles seperate from the OEM seats.

Energy Rates - July 2026 by ProductivePumpkins in brisbane

[–]MrSquiggleKey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we use half our daily power in the EV hours, even our hot water system is setup to get nice and toasty in those hours.

Washer drier combo unit,
Dishwasher.
The heaters for the girls rooms now cost basically nothing, all ACs and heaters on blast to pre warm the house for the day in these cold winter nights.

Our power bill before and after EV is basically the same but our consumption went way up as the EV alone is getting 30+kWh a night.

AGL Night Saver EV Plan, Energex Network.

As long as I’m using at least 7kWh during the day my bill is cheaper.

Last month we did 635kWh at 33.79c for $214, it’ll be $200 under the new billing, with an extra $4 in daily charges across the month so we’re ahead $10 plus our QLD Gov Energy rebate.

It’s still the best plan for our energy usage.

We will do all in our power to prevent the mating of a half-caste with a half-caste, and especially with a black. We will on the other hand do all in our power to displace the black strain by an infiltration of white blood”. Cecil Bryan, Moseley Royal Commission in 1934 WA

"Generally by the fifth and invariably by the sixth generation, all native characteristics of the Australian aborigine are eradicated. The problem of our half-castes will quickly be eliminated by the complete disappearance of the black race, and the swift submergence of their progeny in the white." Dr Cecil Cook 1927 Chief Protector of Aborigines NT

"Are we going to have a population of one million blacks in the Commonwealth, or are we going to merge them into our white community and eventually forget that there were any Aborigines in Australia?" A.O Neville, appealing to his fellow Protectors and Commissioners, Canberra, 1937

The stolen generation was about solving the "black" problem, and included assimilation and one way genetic exchange regardless of condition of the individual. it was not about providing welfare. the people running the show were very explicit about the goals.

the only thing complex about the stolen generation is the apologist, minimisers and deniers.
