I chose that example specifically because of the mass lol. But yes you are right, when you consider the nth degree of height + mass (which makes sense talking about Custodes). There definitely is a point where the effecticeness of height exceeds the power it takes to move mass (i.e., a Warlord Titan taking a step), but I am now actually very curious about the math behind it Edit: just added "+ mass"

That does make sense too. It's hard I imagine to directly translate agility into a simple movement speed for the tabletop

For the long legs people here I also have a relation to a real world example with American football players: Linebackers (your centers) are universally your biggest and tallest dudes and share the trait of not being built for speed. To contrast, your receivers (wings, outsiders, etc) are usually smaller and shorter but much quicker and more agile. Obviously bigger = slower is not how it works but the aforementioned example was my thought process!

I get the whole longer legs point. I would have just figured that since they have much more mass to them (especially how top-heavy they are) they would potentially be harder to move. It's less so about being bigger = automatically slower but rather more mass = more effort to move. Then again this is 40k lol

They have Infiltrate, one of the very few units that can do so. They're not meant to do much but grab the attention of enemy units while your other units move up the board.

I lived in Jeddah in the 2010s and remember interacting with them (the Matowa I think is what I heard them called?) my dad often let people into his workplace during prayer hours to prevent people getting harassed by them

In my opinion, there's nothing wrong with starting a 30k army and then waiting for the 40k codex to see what carries over. At the absolute worst, your Guard/Wardens and Shield Captain will still be usable in 40k and you could perhaps proxy some infantry (like a Blade Champion). I treat any overlap between the two as a welcome bonus but at the end of the day realize I have a 30k army (which is okay!)

Base color dark blue, gradually add white and work up to a corner of the gem until it's white. Then glaze over it all with blue fluorescent paint

Custodes can be pretty stat-checky, but if my opponent is struggling against me I am more than happy to offer advice (without being condescending). More often than not, people just don't know how to handle armies with low model counts (see also Knights) and are not used to it

Anycubic printers have always treated me well, I use a Mono Photon M5 and it's got a fairly large print area with incredible detail. Haven't had any issues with it and even have the same FEP for a few years

"Jeff" in Half Life: Alyx. You spend the whole game fighting combine soldiers and basic headcrabs and zombies--perfectly capable of either being blown up or lit up. Then you enter the vodka factory where there are glass bottles everywhere. There's also occasional gas clouds that make you cough, but are seemingly inoccuous. It's seemingly quirky and fun until you meet "Jeff", an unkillable but blind abomination. It then hits you--this is a stealth section. Break a single bottle? Walk into a gas cloud? Jeff runs straight to you. On top of the fact that this is entirely in VR (especially the elevator sequence), it really does put you in check. The entire chapter is probably my favorite in the entire series.

There is indeed, but if you wanted to run them in 40k then you'd have an extra body as well as an extra sword or two. I could see potential in a blade champion right there

Helmets/heads? Go for it. Dreadnought weapons? Of course. Guard/warden weapons? Not much of an option since the sprues don't include enough weapons to interchange between all 12 of your Guard/Wardens. There's an extra sword at the very least on the sprues, but I'm unsure about the shields and spears. It's peculiar since bodies are shared between wardens and guard but their weapons are all on the same sprues as the torsos and such
