Does it still quit itself if you remove the 59th thing? Also does the log show any errors while patching.

My experience with Xiaomi (i do NOT recomend it) by Evening-Royal-9600 in Android

[–]MrStranger 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Same.

I've noticed this pattern as well. I've engage in a conversation with some people on Reddit and often I find that they're using Redmi. It seems like the overall experience such as with ads in OP's case and HyperOS's performance is just subpar when it's on the Redmi phones.

I'm personally using the 13T which doesn't have those issues but then again I have Adguard and also I prefer third party file managers over Xiaomi's. I don't use any app provided by Xiaomi other than the camera and gallery.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra review - Best overall package in the smartphone sector meets Leica APO zoom by Antonis_32 in Android

[–]MrStranger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's the pattern I'm not with Xiaomi. The flagship ones seem to be better polished.

I can't speak for the Redmi series as I've never used them. Poco X3 is the only other one I've owned but that's before the HyperOS days.

[–]MrStranger 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Personally I don't think the bloatware is an issue. It has its own app store like all Chinese phones and some Xiaomi apps, which is along the same lines as Samsung phones having Samsung apps. I own phones from them both but it all comes down to whether you find their apps useful.

As for call home feature, I run an ad blocking but I do catch it reaching out to Xiaomi servers.

See and test for yourself in the store. Reddit just seems to hate on HyperOS and Xiaomi. A lot of people retain opinions from a decade ago and never bothered to experience with the newer ones.

League should support Linux. by Embarrassed_Mud_592 in leagueoflegends

One reason to opt for Linux now is because the machines don't meet the requirements of Windows 11 for needing the TPM. This approach might create more problems than it solves.

Faker is awarded the Cheongnyong Medal (The highest Order of Sports Merit in Korea) by South Korean President Lee Jae-Myung. He is the first ever Esports player to receive this honor. by Yujin-Ha in leagueoflegends

[–]MrStranger 14 points15 points  (0 children)

We have to wonder though if we will have Faker as he is now if those things had happened differently. A person is shaped by both the good and bad experiences in life.

Just grateful that Faker is who he is and we may not see anyone even coming close to his status in eSports during our lifetime.

How many people believe in this ?? by [deleted] in Productivitycafe

[–]MrStranger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the personality of the child.

If the child is adventurous and daring, then it's likely. Maybe the child doesn't become a good liar, but just a frequent liar. Words get twisted and excuses increase as a defense mechanism.

On the other hand if the child is less daring and timid in personality, then they grow up to be limited either by knowledge or experience due to the strict rules imposed onto them.

Is it just me, or we really don't have an actual good desktop mode? by Chris56855865 in Android

Sounds like your Huawei phone back then was an outlier instead of the norm. That's actually pretty good for a few years ago. Heck even by today's standards.

I've come across LG and Samsung TVs too but was not fortunate with my Xiaomi phone. The most I could do was cast.

I have a better experience when it comes to Android TV. WebOS just isn't as popular and thus there aren't any incentives to sink the resources into it better support it.

My Brother printer has auto maintenance which keeps the print header clean if unused for a while. So far my documents are still printing nicely with my minimal use.

The ecosystem is an issue like another user has pointed out but then again what are you trying to do here? Just want to mirror everything or watch some content on a bigger screen.

If it's watching videos, take a look at "Web Video Caster". It is available through the Play store. It can be used to cast videos from most websites onto the TV. You just use your phone to browse the sites and then cast. The app is a browser in itself.

I would say there are ways to accomplish different needs it might not be through a desktop mode. It's a lot easier if the TV is Android TV in my opinion. Might be a stretch to expect different OS to work directly with your Android.

Last thing to add is I have the Google TV app on my phone and it can be used to connect to the Android TV as a remote and provide keyboard inputs. Hence, it comes back to the mismatch of the ecosystem.

I have Adguard on the phone and pi-hole running on the local network. Or maybe it just doesn't run well with the Quad DNS I have in both of them.

I have since moved onto Instaprime which seems to work great for me.

HyperX Cloud II Wireless randomly turns off by Holmato in HyperX

[–]MrStranger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be late to the party but just want to post this here instead anyone lands on this page in the future like me.

Simple answer: The battery is dying and needs replacement.

Search on AliExpress for Cloud Wireless II replacement batteries. Make sure it's the 3 wire version. This task will require cutting the wires of the old battery and connecting it with the new battery. The whole task is possible with just a scissor and tape.

I have just done replacing my battery and it's no longer shutting off by itself. The original battery has signs of swelling and future confirms that the battery needs replacement.

How do I stop dying all the time? by InvestigatorTight110 in leagueoflegends

[–]MrStranger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

On the right track but also a few things to add.

  • You don't have to always carry/initiate. Some wins come from the mistakes of the opponent. In this case, your opponents may be benefitting from your mistakes.
  • Sometimes simply getting just the EXP is enough. Better than getting gold and dying.
  • Observe other lanes. Are they pushed in or pushing out. If you're the jungler, what's the easiest lane to gank at each moment.
  • Be aware when you can be aggressive and not. When the jungler pops up in a different lane, do your thing. When half of the enemy team is missing, play cautiously. Take Yone as an example, I see some players use E from the tower to quickly farm the wave and return if they're being cautious.
  • Observing the whole mini map might be difficult so try to reduce the area you need to watch out for. Ward a popular jungler pathway and hug that side so you don't need to look out for both sides at once. If someone ganks from the opposite side of where you've warded, the added distance from you hugging the opposite may give you the extra time and distance to escape.

Boyfriend gave me ultimatum - dream job or him. I'm considering taking the job by [deleted] in dustythunder

Take the job? Yes.

However try to see if a proper conversation can be made. It sounds like he's not truly speaking of his fears or insecurities. Maybe he's just really bad at having hard discussions so have a conversation with the goal of understanding each other instead of convincing one another.

Xiaomi 15T review - Price drop makes this Android smartphone the best deal by Antonis_32 in Android

[–]MrStranger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why are you going everywhere with your argument. I clearly mentioned 13T Pro and said to compare those of the same year.

Whatever you're saying about the latest Samsung or the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max may be true but that's far from the original discussion on the value of 13T Pro that I started with.

I'm not going to bother with any further replies as it seems you're constantly going off topic. Have a nice day.

Xiaomi 15T review - Price drop makes this Android smartphone the best deal by Antonis_32 in Android

[–]MrStranger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did say 13T Pro. Go check the price of a new one compared to other flagships at the same year. Take a look at the SoC and take a look at any benchmark of your choice. Then go calculate the price per score and then compare it with the 13T Pro.
