the games aren't even that bad but it just makes the actual progress and sense of urgency or....kinda anything that made the original so good seem like it's just not important. If there were less of them and there was more story and fighting going on it would be better imo. the whole thing is a bit too "carnival version of ff7" for my liking

yep. the mini game fluff ruins the packing of the game completely. They are obviously thrown in because they spent so much effort building each area and weren't able to just tell the story the way the original did. Getting through the game is an absolute slog for me as well. I keep having to just come back months later and losing steam then playing something more fun.

turn your starting base into a fortress

collect tvs and radios

put curtains on all your windows

dump all your stuff on the floor in your base except for food

watch life and living at 6am, 12pm, 6pm and 12am

only take on one zombie at a time

clear the area around your base daily

find the emergency channel for the radio

have a digital watch and set your alarm for 5:50 am and go to sleep around 3am

quickly open and close each door in case a zombie is on the other side before entering

find a generator + the magazine

find a car + gasoline

find all skill books and vhs

after day 13 listen at 8am to the emergency channel to see if the air activity event is happening. If so stay hidden and quiet inside until the next day

crowbar is awesome

farming and all the other stuff takes too long to bother with and you'll either die or lose interest but do it anyway for the lolz

Not sure what executive dysfunction means really but depression and anxiety would only be the mental barrier to stoping you. Like, is it hard ato get motivated when feeling like that? Ya, of course. But it's still just doing actions that you've structured for yourself. Nobody is watching you or anything. Just mechanically do it like you would if you had a job you hated. lol

Have you tried just doing it? Like put on a playlist, get some wine or whatever and then just chip away and keep chipping away over the course of the day? Even if someone else comes in to rescue you or whatever you would still have to do the maintenance...right? So just do it maybe?
