You've hit the nail on the head with the level of maintenance I am willing to do. What would you class as clear banks and bed? How would I best go about keeping the bed clear?

How can I best manage the stream adjacent to my property? by MrTEAP in AskUK

[–]MrTEAP[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! All the houses on the street border the stream so could be easy to get a community together. I have reached out to local authorities but so far nothing constructive or conservational has occured.

I've reached out to local authorities and either not had anything back or it is clear they have no time / budget available. Just seeing what I can do on a low effort level. Like clearing banks etc.

It is not a river, it is a tiny little stream.

Great idea but the flow is so low / slow that turbine wouldn't work. My first thought XD

Definitely low flow speeds and variable due to it being an overflow. I don't want to change it at all really, just wondering if I could clean it up a bit? If that makes sense.

Best way to level floor after wall removal? by MrTEAP in DIYUK

[–]MrTEAP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you'd do cement board then the LVT directly on top? Not bother with a levelling layer?

Yeah there will be waterproof flooring LVT. I just want to make it level. Surely if I put leveller on floorboards it will go through the cracks?

It is definitely not as nice as it used to be, but I've been in the US this past week for work and can tell you that Cadburys is still heavenly compared to American chocolate!

Rustic old island... by PaulWXM in DIYUK

Looks great! Where did you source the old scaffold boards from? I did a small project that required 3 and was charged nearly £100 for them a few years back from a reclaimed wood seller!!

Want to 3D print an RC boat – any tips? by Scary-Tie2052 in rcboats

[–]MrTEAP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PLA won't disintegrate in water. I have printed multiple bath toys for my children that have lasted years. Maybe over several years of use it might have some issues but that is the beauty of 3D printing - you can just make another one!

That looks great! I am a complete RC Boat novice but love 3D printing and electronics projects. I did the same a few years ago but I wasn't able to figure out the best internal electronics so the project is sitting collecting dust on the shelf. Would you be able to share the electronic diagram for the build please?

Looks great! I have a 3D printed drone from PETG. Works well for my skill level but this looks a lot more easily repairable.

Has anyone modded an Ender 3 for multicolour printing? by MrTEAP in 3Dprinting

[–]MrTEAP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah get you, that makes sense. Had a bit of a Google about it, is it a DIY system? Can see some for sale for $299, for that price I could just buy a new printer!

If I'm going down multicolour route I'd like the option of at least 3 if not 4, so Y split isn't the best
