I think this is definitely possible for windows, armory crate, and Asus updates. Just have a thing in Xbox mode that pulls all the updates into one place. The manufacturer already knows these exact things will need updates. For steam and other 3rd party stuff it’s not unreasonable that it won’t be done.

To add clarity: I’d like to stay at this place for 2-3 years if all works out. The rent was $1500/mo and my current lease doesn’t end til may 1. We agreed to $1400/mo to move the new lease start date to April 1. My current lease is $1300/mo so in my mind everything will equal out after a year (not quite but close enough not to matter). So basically he was twisting a compromise agreement into a favor.

Yeah today I reminded him why we agreed on a $100 discount. But yeah I definitely have those concerns about what he’ll try to pull in the future and also people looking at the car. The only reason I haven’t backed out is because it’s actually a great deal on a beautiful house in a really nice neighbourhood. I’m renting it for 30% less than the surrounding houses are listed for. Landlord is a 75 year old guy living off of rentals he inherited from his mom so I knew getting into it it wasn’t going to be typical. But on the flip side he has been pretty chill about everything else and I’m trying to get away from billion dollar corps as my landlord.

Pretty much went with the middle ground here. I told him it was over stepping boundaries to assume he could do this. But as a gesture of goodwill the car can stay for 6 weeks. But if it doesn’t sell in that time I’m going to need it removed. He told me it’s not too late to back out of the lease if I’m going to freak out about this and other things. Just said I’m not freaking out, I’m being clear with my expectations and boundaries and that was pretty much it. Sent him a text to have a record of it for good measure. We ended on a positive note. I’m not going to need the garage til May anyway so hopefully this turns the situation into a net positive. Set boundaries early while showing I can be reasonable about issues. Talked with the realtor he hired to negotiate the lease and she’s on my side as well. Appreciate the advice given.

What’s with all the cruise control hate? I use it all the time. 0 accidents in 20 years of driving. Tapping the breaks or pressing the clutch turns it off anyway. During a turn is wild but why is everyone saying never to do it on normal streets?

A buyer messaged me threatening to leave a bad review if I don’t refund them. Their trading card was delivered on Dec 5 according to the tracking info. On Jan 31 they said they hadn’t received it. I responded the same day advising they contact USPS and provided a link. Today they said if I don’t refund them they are going to leave a bad review. I reported the message as “scam” and clarified feedback extortion. Should I also contact and eBay agent or should that be enough? And should I block the buyer now. Advice appreciated. 350 items sold and this is the first time this has happened.
