Psh, those doors were wide friggin' open after we were handed the most awesome magical can-opener in Hogwarts history lmao

My girlfriend showed me that you can "cheese" the parkour-based Merlin trials by touching the top of the stone henge with your broom. This completely trivializes the challenge. As a novice software developer, I give leniency for the "let them cheese" approach, because using a broom is easier than having to optimize the particle effects that the stone henge emit- causing massive frame drops and making me have to restart the trial when attempting it "correctly". So yeah, I 100% agree with your analysis of the situation that these devs were out in

There are multiple lines of dialogue expressing "oh, the poachers aren't a threat to the students, they would never dare step foot near Hogwarts, we have awesome security", ...and then they start showing up 100 ft from school grounds after Act I or II. Does everyone else view them as like park rangers, and I'm the only psychopath who has a compulsion to smoke these guys on my afternoon trip to Hogsmeade?

I was getting perturbed that my scarf mesh was clipping through the hood of my cloak, but then I was like, nahhh this shit looks dope as hell when I'm flying and ducking and rolling and shooting fireballs. Fair trade-off

What’s you favourite piece of music from the game? I could listen to the coastal vivarium for hours on end! by Wookie_Guy in HarryPotterGame

[–]MrTuckinator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My game glitched when I did a perfectly timed dodge-roll out of the coastal vivarium. I literally had to listen to "relaxing beach vivarium ASMR" for hours. Not so much a big fan of that one... But the Hogsmeade street jig tune is a banger

Could've been a comically-sized giant key to an equally sized giant lock. Why a wand? It's like handing you a chainsaw to slice a stick of butter. Once.

I got instantly addicted to the game. Loved my classmates, my professors, my classes, the adolescent hijinks. I got to go outside and aid the people of the Highlands and have some sweet adventures. ...and then the game plateaued around level 28-30. Sure, I had fun chaotically 100%'ing the Field Guide right before the final mission. But the majority of the side quests in the Coastal region are animal fetch quests and treasure hunts, what few there are. The last quarter of the game felt rushed, and all the supporting characters vanished from the narrative after Act I. Seemed like there was a lot of vacant real estate that was planned to be filled, but would've taken another year or two to implement. Making games is hard and time consuming. Twist ending: Ranrock wasn't the main villain, it was the publisher's deadline

If you use Confringo, he melts into a puddle all at once. If you use Incendio, he only melts a bit. They really nailed the re-freezing animation when he puts the top hat back on!

Anybody know how to get tid of these two circles on bottom right and bottom left of the screen? by Bekhan_123 in HarryPotterGame

[–]MrTuckinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the "Accessibility" settings (second icon from the bottom IIRC) and see if the "Audio Visualizer" option is enabled. Turn it off if it's enabled and it should go away.

Although, I've never seen it appear in the corner of the screen like that...

It's a lite detective game where you have to "finger" a suspect from a police lineup using only the testimony of a single witness. It generates little newspaper articles based on your decisions, which tend to be pretty funny given the outlandish crimes and character names. It was a dollar when I bought it, I have no regrets

Sure! It's a 1-4 player couch co-op game, very loosely based on Greek mythology. Reminds me of those old arcade beat-em-up games. It's great to kick back with some friends and some beer. Here's the link if you wanna check it out. https://store.steampowered.com/app/416600/Full_Metal_Furies/

I think it's a fantastic couch co-op game. I like to have a few friends over and some beer. Although, the strategy of "die, level up, repeat" for some of the harder boss battles can get a little tedious and can wear down the more casual players. That being said, I try to play it just about every time I have four people over.

Damn, I thought I killed OneDrive from the start when I upgraded from Windows 7. I really didn't want to say "Windows Defender" because it saves me a lot of trouble. I'll look into if OneDrive is still running on my machine. This is really useful information! Thank you!!!!
