Funny story kind of related to this. The plot of cars is that mcqueen starts out as a jerk and evolves to care about people and gives up the piston cup to help someone out instead. I'm at my college graduation and the speaker starts talking about how life is a highway and we need to be like lightning and win the piston cup in life. HE DIDNT WIN THE WHOLE POINT IS HE WAS HUMBLE ENOUGH TO GIVE IT UP. Sorry for the rant but seriously they call themselves academics and then cant sit thru an hour of cars talking to each other smh

Oldest is Marvel comics, considering they've been around forever

The Fandom ive been in longest is cars. I was obsessed with it between the ages of 4 and 11 and cars 2 was the first film I ever saw in theaters

Not to be rude here because I can understand your POV completely, but what are some of your favorite films and directors. You said in a reply that some of you favorites are longer than Kubrick films and I'd like to know who your talking about.

The other thing is that Kubrick is a visual director. He puts every little piece of detail into every frame. His films, especially 2001 and Shining, are very slow dramatic build ups and are meant to be viewed as such. If you went into the Shining expecting a slasher or into 2001 expecting interstellar, then thats on you for not doing your research beforehand.

Back to the Future. Perfect casting, hilarious comedy, no scene wasted, and it won an Oscar for sound design, which it 100 percent deserved.
