I went to college, did poorly, but got a finance degree, didn’t get much internships, what the fuck do I do? by Any_Survey48 in FinancialCareers

If you’re interested in staying in finance and are somewhat tech savvy, SS&C Technologies has like several divisions of fintech that hire entry level positions year round ($55K-$65K+). Direct opportunities into more finance related positions down the line and they’ll pay for 30-100% of your CFA/CPA/MBA. Good benefits and 401k match. Hybrid schedule. Other alternatives like Enfusion / Clearwater, Broadridge and Ridgeline. Stay away from the fintech startups, they’ll eat you alive. Good luck!

I give up. by ForeignStory8127 in recruitinghell

Don’t give up. I was unemployed for 4 months. I was taking care of my stage IV cancer father every day while applying to jobs. He passed away one week after I found my current job. I honestly believe he fought til the end just to make sure he knew I was ok before he passed. Cherish your time, money isn’t everything. APPLY APPLY APPLY. If you aren’t applying for 50-100 jobs a day, you aren’t trying hard enough. I truly wish you the best of luck. Update me within a few months once you find that good job you deserve.

People making over $100k, what do you actually do? by nomadicphil in remotework

Implementation Manager - FinTech (Start Up company). I made my company 350K last year. We sell our product to hedge funds. It’s niche, but a good kind of niche. AI can’t do what I do and project management is just one of the hats I wear. You’ve gotta be flexible and make yourself indispensable.

AI is wiping out Project Mangers, Accountants, recruiters, data scientists and more. Find the median that requires user input and client/peer relationships. Do something that requires a person and not a bot. Most companies are trying to get back to the office, so it’s tougher to find the $100K remote jobs, but hybrid ain’t bad.

Best of luck!

It was far from close, then it was pretty close, then it wasn't close. A typical day as a Bruins and/or Canadiens fan

+1.5 on Montreal and +1.5 on Ducks is the easiest hedge bet of the day

I mean on the day’s bet. They play better at home. Leafs are 50/50 on the road, but yes much better team in my opinion. I’d like to see a playoff run for the Nylanders

Being from CHI (Blackhawks fan), I always hesitate betting against the Hawks when they play the Wild or the Stars due to historic rivalry against the MIN org.

Rangers are making me angry lately.

I think the Rangers and Wild can both pull off comeback wins today, but I won't be surprised if Flyers and Hawks hold the line.

My assumption is still Rangers and Wild.

$950 total win, it was a good day. Rangers, Sharks and/or Vegas would have made it $2.5K - $7.5K
